Spear & Jackson RMAUL Landscaping & Fencing Rubber Maul

I used these mauls for my previous job of putting up estate agent signs and over the course of 9 years, went through various amounts of these mauls. By far the worst were Draper Tools and the version sold by Screwfix. Most other ones brought locally, split down the middle after only a few weeks/months at the most. At my wit's end, I went online and found this one and have had absolutely no issues with it at all. Rubber hasn't perished, disintegrated or split, unlike all others, nor has it moved up or down the handle (which helps split the rubber, shortening its life). We'll recommended by me.

This is an excellent maul, quality as you would expect, and hopefully it will serve me well for a long time to come.I am a gardening/landscaping professional, but as I have not done a lot of flagging/fencing, I have gone for cheaper mauls, all of which have failed one way or the other.Realising that in terms of tools, you get what you pay for, and buying cheap is false economy, I decided to take the plunge and buy this one. It has a great feel, and does exactly as it says on the tin. Highly recommended.

After only using the hammer on 6 posts the head flew off, I noticed plastic sheet was layered between the head and shaft so thought this may have caused the slip but after a second try the head came off again after 9 posts.The shaft is too small for the head and pulls through. The flying head is a big dangerous projectile if it hits anyone !It’s too difficult to take this up with the supplier so will modify myself.

Wow, my son ordered this and all I can say, it is like THORS hammer, it is enormous.

Very disappointed. Wooden handle has broken after using it at home on some minor, not really heavy duty work. ie tapping washing line spike into lawn!
