Completely worth the price
We bought this 3 months ago. We started buying our meat in bulk, primal cut, cases in order to save money. Then we butcher it ourselves at home and freeze it. We do this once a month, and needed to make sure it lasts all month without worrying about freezer burn, and without spending massive amounts of money on Ziploc bags, because that would kind of defeat the purpose of saving by buying in bulk... Anyway, we bought the vacuum sealer when we started doing this, and it has absolutely paid for itself. We also bought a few extra 11 inch bag rolls, and we go through about 100 ft of bags every month, but the rolls are also cheap and it's well worth it.I had read some reviews prior to buying where people were complaining about the machine loosing suction. I have had that happen a couple of times, but it was my own fault. Yes, if you don't leave enough headroom in the bag, it will push up on the lid and break the seal. If you have that happen and it's just a little bit too little space, just push the lid down until that round is done. The only other reasons I can think of that people might be experiencing that issue is that there's a piece of cardboard you're supposed to put back in place when you're not using it to keep the lid from pressing down on the seal constantly, and if people aren't putting that back then they may have messed up the seal. Or, eventually you need to replace the seal anyway, but if people don't realize that's what going on it would cause the same problem. But they DO send you one replacement seal with the machine, so that's really nice.Anyway, the way we use it it paid for itself after the first month of bulk packaging was done. We've done 2 more months of this process since then and it's still working amazing. If it ever breaks, I'm certain we will buy another.

Great Value with a Learning Curve
As a vast user of several kitchen gadgets, I can relate that I have had my share of vacuum sealers that really stand out, most especially at the price point it sells. It's just a food vacuum sealer with a built-in cutter and bag storage, all automatically. One thing, however, that I would have to give notice of in using the HiCOZY is maybe having a little trouble with suction, the bag staying in place. You must line the bag just right in the machine for firm suction. Again, this was a bit of a learning curve pain in the butt at first, but once mastered, it really took only a few tries, and the results were hugely better. PerformanceOnce the bag placement is correct, it seems to do quite an effective job. It kind of struggles to get all the air out with some cuts of meat, though. For example, the machine will give a good seal, even though with thicker or irregularly shaped meats, it won't always have all the air sucked out. It didn't put me off, as the seal was still way better than having used no sealer at all. The best results were achieved with more uniformly shaped items, which came out perfectly sealed.Overall, the HiCOZY Vacuum Sealer Machine is just a solid little workhorse for the money. It will take a little practice to perfect the use, but surely, it is an investment for anybody who would like to prolong the shelf life of their food. For those in love with prepping meals or just wanting to save those yummy leftovers, this machine humanly gives a feasible solution if one has the patience to work through some initial quirks.

Great Buy Great Quality!
This was a little tricky at setup only because me and my husband tend to skip the instruction Manual, but once we read the instructions we figured it out and it works great. Has a great seal and haven't had any issues! Great for meal prepping and storing when you buy in bulk.

Good vacuum pressure at first
The first unit we purchased, it worked well for about five days. Then when we used the canister mode, everything went downhill from there. From that point on every time we conveniently would use the vacuum setting, it would complete the job however, back up air pressure still remains where we cannot lift open the chassis door. With some critical, thinking, realizing we could purge the side canister bladder; much like a eustachian tube. But having to repeat that process every time we sealed a food product is ridiculous. So we opted to order another one. We are in the process of returning the first unit, however, upon opening the second unit that was delivered to us without notification: this new unit simply fails out of the box, and will not vacuum seal at all. We checked the integrity of the bag, cut straight to uniform, lie it in the tray: and the new system fails to create any vacuum pressure at all. It’s been jumping through hoops trying to return the second unit so… the vacuum system seems to work well without the liquid catch tray. But - now the machine simply will not stop the vacuum process and keeps going on four minutes on end - we have to unplug the unit or hit the power button for it to stop: that’s also releasing all the pre pressure accumulated. The second unit simply drains your electrical bill. Someone from customer service did reach out and asked us to take video footage of the issue: doing so would result in a 3 to 4 minute video upload and lastly, we are not on their research and development pay grade chart: so our word within accountability to our experience, should be enough. We are pending a refund and have no idea what to do with the second unit. Purchase this unit at your own risk.
