So happy to get hair clips that can hold thick hair up while styling or straightening! My hair is very thick and heavy so I usually have to use butterfly clips, they are bulky and tend to slide. These did not, they have an articulated saw tooth extension that clamps the hair and they did not slide. So easy to put in and because they have a smooth bottom you get "a measured" portion of hair. They have a low profile so you are not knocking into them as you style your hair. They are a great find. The combs are a good quality, I really like the stiffness of the tail comb and you get an accurate part on the first try. I assume its the metal and smooth end that flows over your scalp vs. a plastic end. The straight comb has varying "teeth" width which makes styling easy, you can smooth strays with this comb rather than flatten your hair. You would not think that such a simple thing can make you happy but its nice to find tools that makes gettingready a pleasure.

The standard comb is great but not necessary for me. I wanted the comb with the pick and the clips to hold our thick hair when drying. The clips work great. They have ridges and teeth that seem to hold the hair in place. They don’t hurt. The comb pick is long and thin that it easily separates the hair to make perfect parts when braiding or pic tails etc. I am so happy with this purchase. The quality is there and they are strong and durable. The pick is metal so it will clean well and hold up. It’s not sharp but can poke u if you jab it LOL! Perfect set. Placed it right into my curling iron travel bag and will use when blow drying or curling instead of stand large claw clips that I always had to use. Took up too much space on the head. These are great and professional like. Anything that holds our thick hair is a win!

I use the tail comb to smooth out and comb through my hair when it's in a little rougher state. The tail is gentler combing out my hair when it's a little knotted, there is less chance of hair breakage.The rat comb can help comb and separate but my favorite use is when I need to tease my hair out at the roots for an updoo. The thin separation makes for a great teasing tool.The clips are work for a variety of sectioning uses. When I'm giving my bangs a trim they help remove the surrounding hair from my face. But mostly I use them when I'm blowdrying my long hair and want to create some round brush waves. It helps to have sturdy clips like this to section the hair so I can work one area at a time. The clips are large enough to grab large sections and sturdy enough to hold well.

The claws are of good quality and can help with hair washing, detangling, taking down braids, and other hair styling needs. The claws securely hold the hair in place. The springs are good and seem to be of good quality as well. The claws grip well and don't stick to the hair. The claws are a good length to hold a good amount of hair.

I liked that they are steel they felt sturdy. The combs are great for precision parting. Nice set to have for section in your hair.
