Bought as a gift
Bought this as a gift for a friend so have no actual experience of using it, but he was very impressed and has used it on multiple jobs already. If it was rubbish, he would have let me know, he's very vocal about sub- standard tools. Hope this helps.

Good solid tool, but only works on Imperial pipe sizes
The description of this tool is not accurate - it does not work on metric pipes. I had to send mine back, as it would not work with 10mm O/D pipes. But if you're working on UK or US vehicles, then it will be fine

Good brake pipe flarer.
I love this kit, you can work under the vehicle and "splice in" a new brake pipe or use it as I have for a complete 3/16 inch system. It has extra's that enable a "double" or would it be " mushroom" flare. Either single or double this kit is good value for money. there are four or five sizes of extra's enabling double flares in virtually all brake pipe sizes. Very useful.

Don’t waste your money on this tool!!!
I buy a lot of Sealey tools as their quality is excellent for the weekend warrior mechanic useage of restoring my classic car. I am a highly competent mechanic and engineer so flaring a pipe is a piece of cake normally. This tool however is utterly dreadful! Save your money and either buy a cheapo Chinese tool for £10 that works just as well or spend good money on another tool!!!Firstly, the two jaws don’t align properly - so trying to hold the pipe, clamp the jaws and hold the jaws in alignment makes it a total pain to use and to get a flare that is square with the pipe.Secondly, the jaws aren’t machined very well, leaving burrs on the back of the flares, where there are gaps in the jaws where they shut. Finally the clamping mechanism requires Herculean efforts to close - which the average user would not be able to achieve and I have bruises on my palms from making 4 flares. Also as you will see in the photos, the jaws crush the pipe to an oval shape reducing flow!!!! The 3/16th hole in the jaws has been simply drilled too small. Having bought a Silverline flaring tool from tool station for £14 as an experiment, it puts this tool to shame and I now have the brake pipes I need to install this weekend.I am about to return this tool to amazon for a full refund!Very surprised and disappointed by Sealey.

Spot on
Excellent product and does exactly what it was meant to. I've had my previous one several years and it needed replacing. It's an exact match and I hope this will last as long.

Its passable
I bought this tool as a replacement for an existing type of different design that I lost the parts for.Must admit to being spoilt by using a friends very expensive, very accurate flaring tool,so slightly dissapointed with this type, found it easy to use,but not absolutely accurate making the flares for my brake pipes.A bit off centre. After lots of fiddling and fine adjustment,I can now get reasonable flares, but only after about 3 attempts on each joint! If youre prepared to fiddle around ,it will work ok.Im summary,it works, and I suppose it is worth the money.

Good for the home mechanic on copper or aluminium.
I bought this to save myself some money and make my own pipes up. It did the job no problems and is pretty good quality. so long as you take a little care it will give good results. I used it on copper pipe and guess other soft metals will be good too but I don't know if this is the tool for harder metal pipes.

absolute Geldverschwendung
