Setup the hub in 5 minutes, and another 5 minutes to install the garage door sensor. The app is intuitive and I had it all up and running in minutes. I am just using app push notifications to avoid limitations using SMS. The Home Assistant integration was also very easy, but initially I had a problem because I tried to do it in Home Assistant from an iPad that did not have the Yolink app installed. But when I tried it from my iPhone and installed the Yolink integration in Home Assistant, it immediately launched the Yolink app and linked the accounts. Devices were discovered instantly. I’m very happy with this setup, especially the signal range since the garage doors are metal, and a good distance from the hub. Response is immediate in both the Yolink app, and Home Assistant when I open my garage door. In fact, I get the Yolink notification even before the native Liftmaster MyQ notification. MyQ no longer works with Home Assistant, so this is a great solution. I’m definitely going to expand this by adding Yolink smart plugs and door sensors in other places in my house where WiFi just isn’t reliable. Wish I’d discovered Yolink sooner. Fantastic products.

So I marked it for an alexa integration, but I have it connected to IFTTT. Works perfectly. I have it set so that when the garage door opens, the leviton smart light switch comes on. Its faster than the MyQ integration that stopped working. I love it. Get their products, setup was less than 5 minutes

I'm super happy with this product! It was reasonably easy to setup and it works really well. I was a little confused when setting up in-App alerts. You can have it send texts (with limits), email (with limits), and/or within the App (unlimited). I'm using an Android based mobile and was having trouble getting the in-App alerts to work. Within the App configuration it appears as though the feature is IOS specific. Email Support team responded quickly but simply confirmed that in-App alerts will work also with Android but they really didn't offer suggestions to help resolve. I found the problem was in the notification settings of my Samsung Galaxy device. It's working great now and I will likely expand my security system with additional Yolink solutions now that I have the hub. It's a brilliantly designed system. Exactly what I was looking for.

Since we sometimes leave our garage door open we needed an alarm. This item works perfectly and sends garage door status to my phone. It was reasonably priced although I have to purchase a YoLink Hub for it to operate.

Yolink just works. No dropped service, no failed widgets. Great customer service. I wish I could say the same about other my other wifi devices. I just wish they made cameras, hint, hint.

Easy to install and setup the hub and link it to Amazon Alexa. After a call to tech support, I was able to get sms messages to my phone which was my goal in buying the product. However, you only get 10 free messages a month unless you get a subscription. After talking to YoLink Customer Support I learnedhow to change my settings so that I wasn't notified every time the door was opened (which quickly burned through the SMS messages). Here are the slightly modified instructions I received from them:I completely understand your concern regarding the frequent notifications for every opening and closing of the garage door. You can definitely customize the settings to receive an SMS message only after the garage door has been left open for a specified period of time. Here's how you can do it:1: Open the YoLink app and go to the detail page of the garage door sensor.2: Select the 3 tier buttons on the upper right to go to the "Alert" settings section, select "Don't Alert" to disable the immediate alerts for opening and closing.3: Enable the "Open Reminder" option and choose a time period that suits your preference. This is the duration for which the garage door can remain open before you receive an alert.4: You can also enable the "Continuously Alert" option to receive repeated alerts at the set interval in case you miss the initial reminder.I was completely surprised at the level of support that YoLink was willing to go to to satisfy my problem.

MyQ IFTTT triggers quit working on 10/12/2023.Got this to use in place. Works great. But their phone app has a login issue and does not work well.Got in touch with support and once I dumped the app's cache and data and logged back in, all worked.

I have a detached garage which is about 200 feet from the house. It has a twitchy remote so sometimes when just putting it down on the counter it triggers the door. The next day I was finding the door wide open. This sensor and receiver work very well at detecting the door state. Their online instructions were clear and the QR codes on the devices were scanned perfectly for easy setup. The app has features for trigger times and notifications. I changed the default alarm sound to a red alert klaxon on my phone if the door is open for more than 15 minutes.
