I bought this because it's the first fully self contained module for experimenting with machine vision that I've seen. It works great, the screen is good quality, as is the camera. No problems using it as is, but it also has plenty of IO to interface with expansion boards and various controllers. Programming is in MicroPython so really simple if you already have experience with Python. The training materials provided by Yahboom are always good and help you to learn through examples of functional code for the module. The firmware even has the AI vision algorithm module included so you can get started with AI visual recognition right away. It amazing how this simple module lowers the bar to getting into and learning advanced computer intelligence programming. Highly recommended. I've really been having fun with it.

I have no complaints. I bought it to test Krux and it performs exactly as I expected and what is promised. Great little unit for a Krux project.

Trash screen came cracked and my computer didn't recognize it

I knew AI could do this stuff, but to do it with something that fits in the palm of your hand is mind boggling. The OV2640 camera is not the best camera by far, but it's adequate enough for the job. The touch screen is quite nice. It would also be great if it came with a rechargeable battery so you didn't have to have it plugged in. The included micro SD card was a Sandisk card where someone used a marker to black out Sandisk, which I thought was weird. For whatever reason there is no software or AI models loaded onto the card. You have to download them all from the website. It did take me a while to find the correct part of the website to download them to. And then a little while more to figure out that each model should be in its own directory on the micro SD card. Once that's done, just select the example software from the IDE, load it up on the K210, and it does its thing. I really can't stress enough that something this tiny, and relatively easy to use can do multi object recognition in real time. I have so many ideas on ways that this will make my life easier.

Good thing to have in your kit for project use for advanced object recognition or AI projects.

Das Modul ist erst heute bei mir angekommen, daher basiert meine Einschätzung auf den ersten intensiven Tests zu Hause – und ich bin ehrlich gesagt ziemlich geflasht! Die Verarbeitungsgeschwindigkeit ist wirklich beeindruckend: Mit der 1 TOPS-Rechenpower erkennt das Modul Gesichter, QR-Codes, Farben, Objekte und sogar Verkehrsschilder oder Linien extrem flott und zuverlässig. Ich habe direkt mit dem mitgelieferten MicroPython-Code und CanMV gestartet – die Beispiele laufen out-of-the-box und zeigen, wie präzise die Erkennung funktioniert. Besonders die Line-Tracking-Demo mit ein paar einfachen schwarzen Linien auf weißem Papier war sofort einsatzbereit und reagiert blitzschnell. Das integrierte 2-Zoll-Touch-Display ist ein riesiger Pluspunkt: Man sieht live, was die Kamera sieht, kann Menüs bedienen und sogar die Modelle direkt am Gerät trainieren. Ich habe in unter 10 Minuten ein eigenes kleines Objekterkennungs-Modell mit nur 5–6 Fotos pro Klasse trainiert – das klappt tatsächlich so einfach, wie beschrieben, und spart einem tonnenweise Aufwand. Die Kompatibilität ist top: Über UART/SPI habe ich es problemlos mit einem Arduino und einem Raspberry Pi Pico verbunden. Die seriellen Ausgaben kommen sauber und schnell an, sodass man die Ergebnisse direkt in eigene Skripte einbauen kann. Bluetooth habe ich noch nicht getestet, aber die anderen Schnittstellen laufen einwandfrei. Verpackung und Zubehör sind ebenfalls gut durchdacht: Die 32-GB-TF-Karte ist schon mit den aktuellen Firmwares und Beispielen bestückt, das Micro-USB-Kabel und der verstellbare Ständer sind praktisch und stabil. Nach den ersten Stunden Spielen und Experimentieren: Das ist definitiv eines der besten AI-Vision-Module in dieser Preisklasse für Bastler und Lernende. Macht riesig Spaß und öffnet Türen für coole Robotik- oder Smart-Home-Projekte. Klare Kaufempfehlung!

Die Yahboom KI-Kamera-Module sind gut und lehrreich. Ohne jegliche Frage. Es sind einige KI-Modelle direkt vorinstalliert, man steckt die Stromversorgung an und kann direkt sehen, wie es funktioniert. Das System wird (mit Ausnahme des USB-Netzteils) komplett geliefert, man muss nicht lange basteln. Das passt. Um zu Hause einmal zu schauen, was so eine KI-unterstützte Kamera alles kann, ist das klasse, gerade auch, weil es ein Tutorial dazu gibt. ABER... Diese Kamera kostet EUR 50,- - mit 400MHz und 1 TOPS. Der große Bruder, die Yahboom K230, kostet EUR 57,- mit 1,6GHz und 6 TOPS. Da ist dann im Paket auch schon die Kühlung dabei. Die K230 kann auch schon über GPIO-Pins externe Hardware ansteuern und kann deutlich mehr Modelle direkt auf der Kamera laufen lassen. Bei dem Preisunterschied kann ich einfach nicht zur K210 raten.
