Double-check this is the right product for you!
This charger is very useful now that Panasonic only officially supports "in-camera" battery charging, so you can't charge a spare battery while using the camera at the same time. Stocks of these remaining end-of-line separate chargers are hard to find, so buy while you can. I bought one, it works fine for charging my genuine Panasonic batteries. (I mention that as I've read reports that the cheaper non-Panasonic chargers only work with after-market batteries, and won't charge genuine Panasonic batteries - for that you need this genuine Panasonic charger!)However, the product description isn't as accurate as it could be, so here are some helpful pointers. There are two pictures on this product page, of different chargers! This charger is the one in the second picture, the picture that also has a mains lead. All ExPro's Panasonic charger pages on Amazon have the same pictures, regardless of the actual charger being sold. They also don't always list the correct charger part number in the product name. I did ask ExPro to update their product pages to correct this, but they declined and said one should buy a charger from them based on the list of batteries they say it charges, not on the charger part number itself or the pictures. I confirm you should follow that advice, as I initially bought the wrong charger, innocently choosing one based on its part number and picture, that turned out not to match the actual product!Second, the charger they sent appears to be "genuine Panasonic" and "new" as they claim, but didn't come in normal Panasonic packaging. It came in a plain white cardboard box, without any of the retail documentation you'd expect. Perhaps it's just that it's a "trade" package for spare parts? The charger packaging also didn't include a mains lead, Ex Pro supply a third-party mains lead. That's all fine, but I think the product description should make it clear you aren't getting a full Panasonic retail product.

Same adapter that comes with original camera ... but very expensive.
We lost ours that came with the camera ... I am sure it will turn up now in a few weeks!Anyways, it is exactly the same as was in the box with the camera. Only reason I gave it 4 stars is the price ... which in my humble opinion is far too high. I guess they can get away with this because people do not have much choice when they loose the original adapter.

Review as I said I would
Okay I said I couldn't give you 5 stars. The plug "prongs" were sticking out of the envelope as I told you. It wasn't a retail box product but loose. It charged battery fine, but as I said it runs hot. Panasonic maybe won't respond to me, but you should carry more clout as a company so please tell them. That said it does the job. Thank you.

Exactly what I was looking for
This an original product, the size is perfect, exactly like the original product I lost on one of my trips. For my surprise it actually fixed an original battery that it stopped working after I used an after market product, I don't know how or was it a chance but it just worked!!!

Hasta la vista?
Not if your battery charger has been left elsewhere. Panasonic have their own battery spec - this is a good but expensive thing so I go with the flow.

Works OK
No problems whatsoever with this accessory. Handy to have a detacheable cable that can be exchanged when travelling, with no need for plug converters.
