We were heading off for two weeks with 3 goldfish to keep fed, this was ideal. Did the job perfectly, 3 happy well fed gold fish when we got home, and surprisingly the tank was pretty clean too, so not much waste.

Sadly it doesn’t guarantee how quickly it will dissolve just a rough estimate so when I got back from a break it was gone. Not sure if my fish starved for long.

We have been gone a week and returned and it has still not dissolved at all. This is in a tank with a filter so there is water movement. Luckily I put in 2 days before leaving to check it was working before we left, so we are arranged for someone to be back up and feed if it wasn’t dissolving. I would not recommend at all - you could end up with dead fish due to this.

Went on holiday for a week and we had 4 big tropical fishes (about 10 cm long) in the tank. Fishes were happy and alive when we came back.

I was warned by a few against using one of these style feeders for my shrimp/rasbora tank while I was out of town; happy to report that it was perfectly fine! Shrimp and fish alive and healthy; water parameters are fine. I suspect there are lower quality similar items that may cause issues, but this one worked great.

Worked well. Fish were still alive after five days. They didn’t melt away too quickly.
