Excellent dimmer!!!
These are extremely small, simple wiring, easy setup, and they just works. I highly recommend these. I just eliminated 3 dimmers in my kitchen with these relays.Instead of using switches we decided to use a tablet running home assistant to control our lights.I am new to Shelly products but so far so good 5x dimmers2 4x Plus1 1x H&T G3 1x 2pm and all have been plug play super simple to connect setup and use. Thanks Shelly!!!!

I would give 10 stars if possible
These are amazing! Literally any feature you could ever want are already included. This smart dimmer is really geared for makers and tinkerers and is obviously set up for being integrated into projects and other devices.I have it set up to control and dim a string of 10 LED under cabinet lights in my kitchen. It even has switch inputs that are completely configurable so you can retain physical controls. Their website even has Arduino integration tutorials!I love that it automatically calibrates the 0-100 brightness settings so you have a full usable range. It also tracks power usage! You can even have it ping webhooks!I had this set up and integrated with Google Home in minutes.Absolutely the best home automation purchase I've made in years of not ever.

Not ready for prime time Apple
For this to work with Apple homekit they say it requires matterbridge or similar. I spent a month with it, programmed it various ways. In the end, it doesn’t respond to voice via Siri using commands “on” or “off”. It only responds to percentages of power via voice. If you are using it building it with the Shelly app, you could ass another star or two. The unit is well built. Its also works fine with Alexa. Just don’t bother with an Apple run home. Wait till they make it Naitive to Home to use it.

great so far, tricky to connect to wifi
WIFI: getting the relays connected to WIFI is glitchy via app. I could not get the device connected and added to the app via adding a device on the app. The app would connect the device to WIFI, but would not add it to my shelly app. Instead i had to find the IP address for the device via my router's app (once connected to WIFI) and then add the device to the app via IP address.Wiring instructions could be shorter/better. In short:L - constant powerN - neutralSW - power from switch to close relay circuitO - switched output from relay to power light/applianceDoesn't matter which "L" you use - there's continuity between them all on this relay. I used SW1 for each circuit, worked fine. You'll likely need to update "button type" in app/settings/button type. Using/maintaining a traditional on/off toggle switch like i did, you'd select "toggle switch one button"Calibrate dimmer. Upon calibrating via shelly app, the app implies the process is done before it's actually done. Calibrating via URL/IP address it actually shows you it's calibrating and tells you when the calibration is finished. Either way works, it just needs time to complete the process. To access via URL, it needs to be connected to WIFI then you type in IP address on another device that's connected (or your phone if connected directly). If you interrupt the process before it's finished, dimming function will not work linear with your other calibrated relays.Firmware: there were firmware updates for all three shelly relays i bought. I'd update asap.Settings: i'd noticed certain settings wouldn't save on desktop webpage. When this happened, I rebooted device and it worked out.Hooked them up yesterday, so far so good once connected.

Used it to convert my dumb light switch to a smart light switch
Took a little figuring out, but I used one of these to successfully convert a 3 way table lamp with switch into a smart 3 way table lamp that still retained the use of the original switch.Dimmer is very fast and can be controlled locally on your LAN. Highly recommend for automating!

Game changer.
We had a smart microwave that the light would automatically turn on at night and when we go rid of it and put in just a hood over our stove my wife wanted the light to come on automatically. This product worked beautifully. The wiring took a little bit of Google electrician to get right since it can be wired a few different ways and to make the switch still functional. Also it will set a passcode by default and it is hard to find what the default code is on the instructions but it is there. 0000 if you need. After it was done it performs great band does exactly what I need. Make a switch that cannot be smart smart controlled.

Purchased on August 5, 2024. In mid-April 2025, it died. I'm giving 3 stars just because of its great functionality and the promise of a better product. However, it’s ultimately useless because the low quality of the assembled components cannot even withstand one year of operation.
