Premium Replacement Ear Cushions for Apple AirPods Max Headphone, Protein Leather Memory Foam Earpads (Leather-Blue)

For $18, I honestly wasn't expecting much, but I figured I'd give these a try. The ear cushions that come with the Air Pods Max, while fancy...are terrible when it comes to using them while working out. Long story short, If you are sweating with each work out, those cushions start to stink. I was drawn to the protein leather of these cushions, because they manage sweat a lot better, and they don't get stinky. I was surprised at the quality of these cushions. I also liked that the opening was a bit wider than the cushions that came with the Air Pod Max, which resulted in a better fit. These cushions have a little more denser cushioning, which made the Air Pods Max fit a little tighter on my head, which was much welcomed - with the stock cushions, my Air Pods Max would tend to slip off my head. That is no longer a problem. For $18, these cushions feel more premium than the cushions that come with the Air Pod Max. If you need some replacement cushions, I would recommend giving these a chance.

The fit is designed specifically for Apple AirPods and they look just like the originals, so they fit well. Yes, they’re comfortable and cushiony, but unfortunately the most important factor — the sound quality — is terrible. They constantly echo and make the music sound muffled and distorted. Even when I’m flying and use noise-cancelling mode, there’s a persistent echo — almost like holding a giant seashell up to your ear. They’ve lasted a while and are easy to clean with water and soap, but my original ear pads never had any of these issues, so the problem clearly isn’t with my headphones. I would absolutely return these if I were still within the return window. Buy a different replacement — these are awful.

The material on these replacement ear cushions is different—not necessarily better or worse, just different. One of my main concerns was whether they would affect sound quality. Thankfully, they maintain the excellent audio performance of the AirPods Max. Noise isolation is on par with the original cushions, effectively blocking out external noise while preserving clarity and depth. Bass, mids, and highs remain as rich and balanced as ever.

I love them especially for gym time. The other kind of ear phone covers were silicone and was horrible with hair pulling and just not a great feel especially when working out and the sweat. These though! Awesomeee slide on and off like beats headphones and yea sweat but just wipe off. Then I switch to the original Apple max muffs for non gym time. No issues and had for a week and a half with 6days of gym time. No tears or anything

These fit very well and everything seems to seal well. However these are not for me due to my uses for these headphone ear pads. The foam density is a bit of an issue along with the reason I bought them, the cooling. So these after a long time wearing them they are not really any better than the stock ear pads. They are also not that good when it comes to the foam density. Which for someone that needs the noise cancellation on the air pods max to be on most of the time is a big problem. Pros and Cons below along with final thoughts. PROs - Soft -Comfortable -affordable CONs -not really cooling -don't seal well -noise cancellation not as good vs. stock -Transparency almost hurts your ears -they bleed sound way more than stock Over all these are ok if you need replacements but they are not good for if you use any of the features that require isolation for the mics which is most of them eg. noise canceling, transparency. So I will be returning them as for my use case (I work in a specialized production plant so lots of noise) cause at the end of the day these just didn't hold a candle to the stock ones.
