OtterBox Galaxy A23 5G UW Commuter Series Case - Black, Slim & Tough, Pocket-Friendly, with Port Protection

I went through four different phone cases and finally found one that fits. I should have gone with the OtterBox to start with. All the other cases had a problem with the audio jack being partially covered up which made it unusable. This one got it right. Skip the "bargain" cases and get the best.

Otter box OtterBox Commuter Series Case for Galaxy A23 5G UW doesn't fit for Galaxy A23 5G. Power button and Volume Controls in misalignment. I saw reviews for similar Otterbox Case for Galaxy A23 5G (not UW), which describe the same problem, I though I try this one, which doesn't have reviews pointed on misalignment. It was wrong assumption. Otter box still doesn't fit. Marking on the box says It's assembled in China.Besides this problem, the outer case material is flimsy plastic, feels slippery. So I probably stick with Tudia Case, which fits like glove.

This is a solidly built case, after all it's Otterbox. Very practical and basic case, great protection if you drop your phone on its side. The ports are covered by rubber closures. But what if your phone lands on its face or back? On rocks or gravel? There goes your screen and scratches to your precious camera lens! This is sold as a rear case only, and I understand that. They assume you have your own tempered glass screen protector. ButI believe this case should have a clear protective cover for your camera lenses, instead of an open window. They scratch easily, and without protection they are vulnerable. At this price point a clear cover shouldn't be an issue.

This Phone protector Case has a rubber inside and a hard shell outside. There are cutouts for the side button/fingerprint reader and the cameras on the back. Does not include a screen protector.

I'd say this is a medium durability case. It's not as good as the Defender version but way better than nothing. You will still need to buy a screen protector.

My granddaughter recently broke her phone. With the replacement phone, we got her this phone case. I didn't know how well it would work but it seems to be working fine so far. It is always difficult to tell before you try it, but this phone case seems to be working well so far.

Exactly what you expect from OtterBox. Add a screen protector and perhaps a protector for the lenses and it feels like it could survive anything short of a fall off the top of a skyscraper or a tank rolling over it. The phone is also unlikely to fall out of the case on impact during a fall--the fit is so secure that you have to work hard to get your phone into the case. The case has a hard polycarbonate shell and a softer inner shell for shock absorption if the phone is dropped. You can also charge your phone wirelessly with the case on.My wife loves the case because it gives her the confidence that no matter what she does to her phone--and she has dropped phones on concrete or accidentally hit them with hard or sharp objects--it will survive and still look nice. I prefer a smaller, lighter and softer case, so this wouldn't work as well for me. But, if you want the maximum possible protection, this case should at least be on your short list.
