After browsing the market for one of these, I decided on this one. It’s really light, comes with a protector cap over the plug end to protect it. It’s really easy to work, simple to understand and didn’t really need to read the instructions. It provides a detailed read into any codes stored on the car as well as a live data capture for when the engine is running. This is an ideal reader for anyone who is into car repair or just to have in the cupboard for when a problem occurs with any OBD2 car. Saves paying diagnostics prices that garages charge. A good investment at a small cost.

Great little obd2 reader , my last one basically had a list of manufacturers that you picked from to connect to the car , This one just plug it in and it fires up automatically and all the functions work fine ..... This was used on a 2017 ssangyong tivoli ......read the error code (exhaust sensor ) cleared the fault ...... it's a diesel so took it for a good clear out blast hopefully to sort it out ..... Oh and also no batteries required ........ it's self powered

C-reader paid for itself within 20 mins of opening the packet. 2012 Nissan Qashqai DPF red engine light had come on sometime ago due to a repaired split air intake. Gave the car the car several good run outs and performing fine but light stayed on. C-reader read the errors correctly and resets the fault. The EML hasn't come on since. Easy to use and good instructions with the supplied with the unit. Saved a load of stress and a several costly trips to a mechanic.

This is a fantastic tool used it on my volvo xc60 2014. I had recently fitted front and rear cameras and ambient lighting through ignition lives. This will cause fault amber engine light. I plugged it in dianosed and deleted the fault codes. Jobs a gooden. Obviously if its a fault when youve not been tinkering you should replace any faulty parts.

It appeared to be a good device for the price had I been able to use it the puppy eat the cable so as it was fixed (not removable except by teeth) it is unusable!

I had an engine warning light appear on my 2004 MG ZT 260 V8 after I changed the air filter. This is a 4.6L Mustang engine and the car is supposed to be diagnosed with a T4 system which is rare and hard to access. I had bought a really cheap streetwize wireless scanner from EuroCarParts which was useless. It linked to my iPhone but did nothing except show me a spinning circle on my phone. I thought I'd try a slightly more expensive model and picked the Creader 4001 OBD2 via Amazon. The Creader identified one fault as 'high air intake temperature' which I knew was an incorrect fault so I requested code delete. The code was listed as deleted, but the MIL was still on. However, the next day when I started up the MIL had gone out. Result! V happy indeed.

Great for reading the general code triggering your CEL but not manufacturer specific so of limited use in diagnosis. Keep it for use on family and friends but buy a specific reader for the cars on my drive.
