Works way better than the cheaper options
This works very well for the money. Way better than the cheap imitations. I bought one for under $100 that is useless because is is so less sensitive and low resolution. This one is very good. It picks up much smaller temperature variations and is a useful resolution. Still not very useful at long range, but very good up close and at medium range.

Great choice for a USB C Android phone
I had been waiting to buy a thermal camera for a while and finally settled on this one after reviewing all-in-one units, and ones that plug into your phone. I chose this one because it was on sale, and it had pretty good and thorough reviews. Others looked a lot larger than something I wanted to put on my phone, and this one is really small. It comes with a pretty solid case (it's like a hard sunglasses case) and very basic instructions to download the app. The user manual seems like it's inside the Android App, which is a bit of a pain, but it's pretty intuitive to use. I wanted mine to see in my ceiling where I need to insulate better and see any potential water damage areas. I'm not a professional user so this suits my needs just fine. It's really neat to see it working and have 'Predator'-vision. It only uses the camera in the unit for this and does use your phone camera for thermal. You can put your phone camera in a small window to have it overlay the thermal one, which is pretty neat. It also makes a pretty good stud finder, as in the attached images you can see very clearly the studs behind the walls (yes, I definitely need more ceiling insulation). Also neat to play around with standing somewhere and seeing your footprint, or putting your hand on something and seeing it. Plusses: Small, easy to use. Better technical specs than other thermal USB C cameras. Minuses: Should have a separate user manual/pdf, and a USB C extension for people with phone cases would be nice. Would I buy again? If for the same use I'm using it for now, yes. Great product!

Clear as mud. Terrible blurry camera.
The focus on this camera is atrocious. It’s just a blurry mess no matter what distance or subject you use it on. Completely disappointed in the quality of this after watching a number of reviews that made it look much better. The only saving grace is that the overpriced macro lens actually makes the camera work. That lens should be included with every one of these. In my sample pictures that blurry one is the absolute best result I could get from this camera as is, but the crystal clear picture is with the macro lens add on. I’m testing cameras from other manufacturers now to decide if I return this or not.

An excellent tool
I bought this IR camera to inspect some suspected issues with my home. The performance of this device was surprising. The device is smaller than I expected. I was pleasantly surprised that this device comes with a protective case. I knew it would come with a short USB extension cable, so I figured my phone case wouldn't be an issue. The camera also came with a cleaning cloth. I did purchase a small USB male-to-female adapter after the first couple weeks of using this camera because the short USB cable was cumbersome to use, as it requires two hands (one to hold the phone and one to hold and point the camera. This small adapter I bought means that where the phone points, the camera points. The temperature display is very accurate and agrees with my laser temperature gun to within a fraction of a degree. The readings are so sensitive that you can actually see where someone walked across a floor for several minutes after they had passed through. The same is true for surfaces that people touch. I was able to check for a suspected water leak, and luckily, there wasn't one, but I did note that the bath mat shows where it is still damp as dark spots compared to the rest of the mat. Electronics show up significantly brighter on the display, so scanning a room will highlight all the light switches, outlets, and any other device using any power at all. I imagine that this would be good for locating hidden cameras or microphones as well, especially if they are wireless. I was able to discover that the wall above my friend's garage door has no insulation in it and you can see the studs in the image right through the drywall. In my opinion, this is a MUST have tool if you do any kind of handy work or are buying or selling a house.

It was great.
I do want to start off with I did end up sending the P2 Pro back unfortunately due to the USB C connector coming loose and it jiggled causing the picture to not show up on my phone.Maybe it was a fluke or maybe it was from too much use in a week i am not sure. Overall in the time that I had it though it was fantastic for a thermal camera. I have only ever use a Flir pro that connected to my phone a few years ago and this by far outmatched that one. The picture quality and speed and ability was far superior. I have included a few photos and a video of me checking around my class A RV for heat in the summer. It may be hard to make out a few things in the video but that is only because I had already put up some insulation to block the heat. Overall though the details with my naked eye and seeing the heat while putting the insulation in (in this case it was foilex) you can see the immediate difference. I snapped a photo of the breaker box while the air conditioner was on and low and behold there was a loose wire on the breaker that I had no idea about. I took a few photos outside too as this was something that the Flir was also not able to do at least not with this good of quality. Overall I truly wish the USB C connector didn't come loose. I plan to keep looking but if I do not find another thermal camera that comes close to this one I plan to try it again in hopes the USB C connector was just a manufacturer defect.

Bought this clever accessory for my iPhone 8/iOS16 for use around the house (to check for water and heat leaks). In contrast to a pinless moisture meter, this camera can only detect water leaks that rise to the surface of the material (and cool or heat it). After downloading the app, it was easy to set up. It works more or less as expected. The image sometimes freezes briefly (a second or so), but this has no practical consequence. I had an opportunity to compare the performance of the camera (on a wall in my house) with the more expensive model used by a contractor, and found the results to be quite similar. The locations of heating ducts, studs and various other items in the walls and ceilings are easily revealed with this camera. Buy it for peace of mind, if you own a home and can afford it. It may help anticipate an expensive problem.

Unlike Flir One Pro that I own & has a small internal battery that needs charging and limits use time, the P2 Pro runs off cell battery, with low power consumption. Refresh rate is far higher and with significantly more pixels, the P2 Pro video & images far superior! All these advantages at a much lower purchase price. I would never buy another Flir One Pro unless Flir does a complete redesign and slashes price! The P2 Pro cellphone Android works well, allows for selectable color pallets, and digital spot, min, & max temperature overlays on the images. I'd expect the IPhone app will work equally well. The P2 Pro came with a case and micro-usb 3.0 extension cable.

Bought this to look for house air leak and and water leak. I'm still impressed by the image quality and sensitivity of this camera. Used it for couple other work and never failed me. For that price, it's a good investment if you need affordable Thermal camera
