So far so good, got me up and running again.
I used this as a replacement for my Genteq 5KCP39DFP101AS that went out. It's a direct replacement with all the same specs and wires (brown, purple, and black with a green ground). Ordered it at 9:30pm Saturday and it was delivered overnight, Sunday morning at 9:30am. Thank goodness for Amazon Prime. I was up and running by 11am the next day. Price was also better than I could find on the same item that would take over a week for delivery. It went out when summer temps were starting to hit 100 degrees, of course. Thank you very much! It performs flawlessly. Just have to hope I get many more years out of it. Saved me so much money on a service call.Special note: This motor calls for a 5u capacitor. My original was 7.5u so I have since matched it. Just something to be aware of.

$800 to fix my A/C! Nope I will do it!
AC went out in one of the hottest days. Called to see what it would cost to get my AC fixed. I knew it was the motor. The technician said it cost about $800 not including labor. I said no thank you. Punched in the model number of the AC unit. Found the motor for the AC unit. Ordered it. Shipped. In addition, I replaced the contractor as well as the capacitor. So basically it was three parts. Total cost for everything was $329. Took me a total of 45 minutes to install everything. We have air conditioner that is brand new. The older parts lasted 22 years. Forgot to mention that I did replace the capacitor three times. Over that 22 year time span. Everything is working fine, it's quiet, it's working, we're cool. If you were a DIY person, it's an easy job. if you were a DYII person. Just look up the model number of the air conditioner unit outside your house. Find the specs that match. There's only four wires. Take it apart and put it back together the opposite way you it apart. It's easy . YouTube is your friend! Save yourself a money! You can do this!
