This unit arrived in a big box, yet it was cracked at the end of one of the spines. I didn't bother returning it, but was disappointed that it wasn't in perfect condition. It still works though....

I have used these for years, having bought the same brand at garden shows in the past. The ones I have had for over ten years are still in great shape and doing the job. I was so happy to find them on Amazon when I needed more. You can decrease the size by snapping off some of the little sections, so that it disappears under a smaller pot -- and I have used those little snapped-off pieces under rectangular pots with great success. The surface area that actually touches your deck, porch, etc. is quite small, so that there is great circulation underneath and no staining/algea/mold under your pots at the end of the season.

These things work really well for keeping a pot off a surface where a wet pot might stain or cause mold (like a wood porch). They don't last forever - I find after 2-3 years outside the plastic gets brittle and the little pieces start to break off on their own. So then I move it under a smaller pot as it gets smaller, until I eventually have to throw it away and buy a new one.
