So Great
The characters in this volume continue to be given so much depth, so much life that as a reader you can't help but become invested in their dealings and by the end you truly want to see what happens next.

Dangerous downtime.
It was a risky bringing back Marcus from his fate in volume 4, but it's another turning point in the deadly class story.

Don't go back
Volume six in the series of paperbacks which collect issues of the comic Deadly Class. All about life at a school for assassins back in the 1980's.This volume contains issues twenty seven to thirty one of the comic. Dividing them all up with chapter pages. It is not a jumping on point as there is no exposition as to what went before. New readers should start with book one.Regular readers read on. They probably won't need to be told that, as ever, it contains adult moments, strong language, and a fair amount of graphic violence.Following on from volume five: Saya's past is revealed as it comes back to haunt her. The power struggle in the school continues. With some handling it better than others. And then there's Marcus and Maria. Can they live happily ever after by a beach in Mexico, or will their past catch up with them as well?Saya's past is intriguing, and becomes a gripping storyline as you wonder how she is going to survive this. Let's just say you will have to wait till future volumes to find out.In the school, the power struggle is a bit of a slow burner. Petra is the one who gets a bit more screen time than others, but gets some fascinating character development. This does know exactly where it is going all the time, because in the final quarter storylines do collide, and then some good moral questions for the reader are thrown at you, which do make you think about what the characters are going through. It has some interesting stuff to say about society and how we handle certain things. Then there comes a really great cliffhanger, in a gripping final few pages. This is most definitely not the end. This is a series that is still keeping going very nicely. And I can't wait for the next volume. This one is rounded out with a section containing various covers, main and variant alike, for the issues in here.

Deadly class ftw
Despite the wealth of ongoing series we have at the moment; this is the only one that has kept me loyally reading every tpb. By far the best out there 🤓
