Work so well, I wish I'd bought this sooner...
This is the second purchase for a system like this: a green non-digital programmer that is separate from the solar panel. I'm just going to leave a review for both. The units are almost exactly the same, just sold under different brand names: I bought the first one like this (just another brand name) after a nightmare situation with another pump unit that had a combo control panel/solar panel, and bought this one after having the other work so well (I bought this brand because the other unit was sold out, and they looked and were described exactly the same). I don't want to jinx it, but it works like a dream, especially after experiencing a combo unit! 1: The control panel and solar panel are separate, so you can place the solar panel anywhere you need it to charge, and place the programmer panel wherever is most convenient to get to. If you try a combo unit, you'll see what a headache that can be, so keep that in mind! 2. It holds a charge for a long time, so the pump works even on overcast days. 3: The watering stakes water under the top surface of the soil, so water isn't wasted, and the reservoir needs to be filled less often, which also means your plants are less susceptible to fungal infections and fungus gnats! This unit's water stakes are hard to put into the tubes, though, so keep that in mind :( 4: This unit can be expanded. I bought an extension kit and added 6 extra watering stakes to each of my units, and they both handle it with no issues. That's 21 watering strikes per unit. I need to refill my watering reservoir more often, but I'm no longer spending my entire mornings before work watering my garden! This is probably the best investment I've made for my garden, and my plants are getting more efficient watering now. I highly recommend this to anyone with a small garden or a container garden, especially if you use grow bags.

works perfectly
I've been using this for months and it works great. You want a large poodle of water for it so it will last as long as possible. I have to refill my large container once or week. very good quality and highly recommend.

Works great for the container garden
Placed an order and received the item the next day. Seems in pretty good quality. Hopefully it will save my flowers on the front porch from drought when I am away. It’s lightweight and flexible and can be used anywhere where the irrigation system is hard to reach. Definitely worth a try

Works well, but inaccurate water metering
After 3 months, the pumps work reliably and solar is solid. The beep reminds me when to refill the tank. The only thing is that I can't fine tune the water level enough - 5 minutes every day is a little too much, and 5 minutes every other day is too little.

Works Great
I set this up to water my plants while I was gone for five weeks but I didn't have time to test it and see if it was operating correctly. I was pleasantly surprised when I returned and everything was doing well. I'm going to get more to take care of all my flower beds. It's a real time saver.

Works really well
Easy to set up. We may be gone gor extended periods so bought a large barrel with aerator to have sufficient water and to keep away modquitos. Very happy with ease of set up and performance.

Bad battery?
After sitting in direct sunlight for 6 hours, unit would only operate on manual for a few seconds before cutting off. This is on first use. All lines were clear. valve installed correctly. I believe the battery was faulty and would not hold a charge.

Great customer support
The device stopped working, but the vendor responded to my inquiry promptly and replaced the pump.

I can't speak for longevity as I've just set it up, but I was so surprised by how well this worked that I just had to come and write a review right away! I ended up buying a small vacuum line Y fitting for a car, turns out to be all these are, so if you need extra T's and even some Y's, just go to your local auto parts store and ask for their smallest vacuum line fittings! The Y was used for splitting the flow into the regular 15 spikes, and the the other hose I tied a knot in the end and poked little holes in the hose with a needle, and made the world's tiniest soaker hose! All of the spikes as well as the tiny soaker all drip at the same rate, one small drop about every second. Pretty Cool idea! This will be perfect for watering while away on vacation.

I have hanging planters and this waters my plants at ground level and the baskets that are 8’ off the ground. If I was buying again I might look for one that was a little more programmable for the scheduling but that’s a minor issue. This pump kept my outdoor plants well watered all summer from my rain barrel. Very pleased with it.

I've tested it for 10 days and the product does what it says.. I was able to add a few more connectors and 3 - 20 litre cans that lasted water supply for 10 days.. it has given good results. My question is - where can I get more of those blue plastic attachments that go in the soil?

It is worth the money.
