An easy method for learning Japanese with drawing
I recommend a good, understandable book with beautiful illustrations. An easy way to learn Japanese through it.

Cute and Useful
The Japanese Vocabulary book by DokiDoki Comics is packed full of useful vocab for Japanese learners as well as adorable pictures. The pages are organized in a simple way that is pleasing to look at.The Kanji all includes Furigana so you won’t need to know how to read Kanji yet to use this book. I would recommend knowing Hiragana/Katakana as there is no Romaji except for a key chart in the back of the book. I think this was an excellent decision by the author as us Japanese learners need to learn to give up our Romaji crutches.I also recommend getting the ‘Japanese Workbook’ by DokiDoki to compliment this book. It helps me to feel less overwhelmed if I memorize vocab based on each section of the workbook. For example, the first section is things you find at school.I really appreciate the work that was put into these helpful learning tools and I hope to see more books by DokiDoki in the future. I’m hoping for a book on Particles. Don’t hesitate to check out DokiDokiComics on Instagram for more daily learning.

Not necessarily for beginners!
The book is awesome to increase vocabulary in general for beginners. However, you need to be familiar with Hirigana and Katakana writing systems of Japanese. I found it easier to write and then commit to memory the new words! I was able to increased my vocabulary and writing skills at the same time! Sentence structure is a secondary issue that is not addressed in this book and required additional resources. This book is however, a good resource for expanding your vocab. and writing practice for the new words you acquire. This additionally helps with identifying and reading these new words you have acquired. This is not a quick learning tool but would be entertaining for young & early adult students of the Japanese language.

My favorite way to learn!
Really cute and neatly organized. I think most of us are visual learners, so it helps to have all the drawings for every word. And I mean EVERY word. There are whole pages of words dedicated to themes that you would experience in everyday life in Japan."Hospital" has the basics, like the building itself, doctor, nurse, but also "consulting room", "medical questionnaire", and "muscle pain". Even the "car" page has the words for unleaded, premium unleaded, diesel fuel, and air pressure. (Unfortunately it doesn't go more in depth if you needed a serious car repair, but I don't even know the terms in english so nothing lost there.)They also have 2 pages of what to use for counters at the end. Yes, illustrated. Like 人 (nin) when counting number of people, 通 (tsuu) when counting letters and emails.I'm currently using it also as a backup reference guide, for when Jisho.org has more than one kanji spelling so I'm not sure which is more commonly used. So I check in here and there we go.By the way, they actively post on social media under the handle dokidokicomics. That's how I found the books. The illustration style is the same. Lots of simple videos with pronunciation audio and compare and contrast for better word association. (If you couldn't tell, I'm a fan.) It's like the social media version of kids shows, very comforting and easy to understand. On Instagram they have short videos, on Youtube they have like full length anime episodes.

Book exactly as described
Being Nikkei in an area of America where there are no learning resources, it has been hard to learn Japanese fluently, this book is an amazing tool for learning Kanji and I am using it to help with my kana recognition as well

love love love this <333
The media could not be loaded. i adore this book so much i literally can’t sing enough praises for it. i love that it has no romanization (as i feel that hinders my reading abilities). i love the colorful illustrations, and the kanji. one thousand percent recommend!!!

Excellent resource
I really like all of the cartoons and the amount and variety of words presented. I think it has a lot of really basic and helpful vocabulary.

Just a dictionary
This is literally a dictionary with pictures. Which is fine, but there is nothing in here to help anyone learn anything. No writing practice, not even a pronunciation guide (though there is a preface that states you need to know katakana and hiragana and Japanese is phonetic, so there's that). The drawings are cute but don't really add context that would help anyone learn. If you bought this as part of an entire set and used it as a reference maybe it could be helpful for you. But if you're looking for real learning or anything to guide your learning in beginner to intermediate Japanese , look elsewhere.
