SSK 128GB USB C Flash Thumb Drive up to 550MB/s Dual USB C+A Memory Stick

This is honestly my favorite flash drive I have ever owned. The solid metal body feels exceptionally durable and premium, and the dual USB-A and USB-C connectors make it incredibly versatile. It works perfectly across all my laptops and devices without needing adapters, which is enormously convenient. Performance has been excellent. Transfer speeds are fast, the 128GB capacity is generous, and the drive feels far more substantial and reliable than typical plastic thumb drives. This is one of those products that quickly becomes part of your everyday carry because it is simply so useful. If you need a fast, high-capacity flash drive that works with both modern USB-C devices and older USB-A systems, this is an outstanding choice and offers excellent value for the money. First impression is that it looks great and has a smooth and solid feel that feels great in your hand. The case is a nice touch if you do not want to add a lanyard to the drive itself, which you can do on the USBC side. It is a great value dual flash drive if you plan to handle gigabyte-size files. You can find faster dual drives (at a higher price) like the SanDisk Extreme Pro Dual drive (min. 256 GB capacity), but for most users, this drive will provide reasonable speeds from both USBA and USBC ports. During my own test, downloading a 10.7 GB folder from my HP Omni-book 15 laptop took between 60 and 63 seconds using 10 Gbps USBA and USBC ports. Average write speeds were around 250 MB/s during the first 45 seconds with a peak of 300 MB/s, slowing down towards the end of the download to about 133 MB/s. Average write speed about 178 MB/s. The drive does not get hot at all. All in all, I'm very pleased with this flash drive, the only issue that I have is how hard it is to plug and unplug from my laptop ports. Soon, I will be adding a cheap usb hub to reduce wear on my laptop ports. Note: Previously, I tried a 128GB PNY DUO LINK USB 3.2 that was terrible. It would take over and hour to download the same 10.7 GB folder using the same ports on my laptop.

I just bought two USB gen 2 sticks from different vendors. This one claimed to be reading at speeds of 550 MB/sec, and I was leery. So many items never live up to their own hype. Well I have a slick tool now to measure such things, and this **delivered**. I am using EaseUS DiskMark which is part of their Partition Master Professional app. Sure enough it slightly *exceeded!!!* 550 MB on Sequential Read. For those newer to drive speeds in general, Sequential Read is the fastest (and so the metric companies claim), followed by slowing Random Read, Sequential write, and Random write (writing is just slower). Poor quality sticks often have a decent Read speed, that they use to market it, but terrible write speeds. This stick delivered! Its worst stat, random write, had only dropped to around 400 MB/sec which is an outstanding number and lack of the usual degradation in speed. Top marks. But the stick itself is a joy, almost space age. This stick has the feel you could whack it with a hammer all day. Ive had metal thumb drives before but the aluminum never felt sturdy. whatever alloy this is is tough as nails! In the photo, the little flip-back bar protecting the USB-C port looks pretty tiny - I assure you its no joke and *absolutely* will protect the port. Same goes for the other end and the USB-A connector cap - blast proof! The pouch for a keychain it comes with is also of high quality with a focus on durability, both in the leather-ish material, and especially the ring itself - its not going anywhere. I would have written this review just for my happiness with its speed, but the physical durability really puts it into a different category. At this price point there is just no reason to buy a cheap plastic thumb drive, and one where youre unsure of how badly it will degrade (if it even meets) its listed speed. This delivers on all fronts and is so robust it will last a lifetime. Slap it on that key chain, it can handle the abuse. drop it on the floor, stomp on it, no effect (im not joking). Absolute GEM of high quality mixed with durability and speed. This brand is now up there with Kingston and Samsung in my book (which is a long list of buying cheap disappointments)

I’ve owned a few portable flash drives and this one is the best one yet. Ease of use and I don’t have to use of my laptop space. With a separately purchased adapter: I use it on my iPhone to prevent use up my storage and it save documents while working on my phone and to also transfer data from the phone to the drive and to use data from the drive while working on my iPhone. The keychain storage compartment helps me keep track of it and to protect it from damage because I have broken many flash drives that did not come with a protective cover.

I haven’t tried many dual USB flash drives, but I love this one. It has made life so much easier. It does get warm though like other reviewers have reported, but it’s very fast, very convenient, and a total game changer.

I was really impressed with the overall quality of this device. It feels solid, premium, and well-made right out of the box. I used it to back up data from my mobile phone, and the file transfer speed was faster than I expected. Setup was simple, and it worked smoothly for moving my files without any hassle. I normally don't buy Off-Brands, but thought I would give this one a try and I got SCAMMED!!!!! I ordered a 128GB drive, everything that arrived stated it was a 128GB drive. When I plugged it in to use it however, it showed up as a 32GB drive. I know these scams are out there and these sellers are just hoping that buyers don't check the capacity of the drive until it is too late to make a return. This goes to show that you need to always verify what you are ordering. Needless to say, I'll be returning this device. The real kicker is that the drive looks to hit the marks that they list for data transfers. Build quality seems to be good quality. I'm not a fan of the USB cap for the USB-A side, would have liked it if the cover pivoted out of the way like the USB-C side. They included a little "leather" keychain fob carrying sleeve that seems nice as well. As of this review this model is about $6 less than the Lexar of the same size I just bought, so the value would have been good if the capacity was correct. Great quality flash drive, works fast, and even has a little keychain case that comes with it. 10/10 will buy more soon again. 😂

Would have happily given 10 stars, amazing product. I had been looking for a convenient way to transfer phone data and this is exactly what i was looking for. Connects directly to mobile and very fast data transfer.
