Great so far
Loving the earbuds so far. The noise canceling is not what you'd consider absolute (these are earbuds after all), but it is very, very good. I've never had NC anything before, but it's been great for studying, gym, etc. The touch controls are customizable which is great, and I love the extra feature where you can switch between 3 ambient settings: NC, normal, and transparent. Bluetooth connected right away with zero issue via the app. Volume control is also very easy when you set the control for it. These earbuds also come with an array of different earpiece sizes, but I found the medium which came on the product worked perfectly for me.I upgraded to these after buying the Liberty Air 2 model around 2019/2020. They lasted me 5 years with constant heavy use, so I am hoping the same is true of this model. I will say that my Soundcore experience has been great and their products are definitely value for money. The sound quality works great for my preference, and I like the style with the long stick- I can actually grab them.

Good sound quality, unbelievable battery life
I've had these headphones for about 10 months now, using them as my main set for everyday use, and longer distance travelling.Sound quality: For the price point (I think around £40/50), really quite difficult to fault these headphones. The ANC can hold its own in a London tube train, which is no easy feat and the range is respectable. Obviously you're not going to get some of the ends of the range you'd get with higher priced headphones, but for a daily driver I think these tick a lot of boxes.Case: I think the case is really very nicely made, with a nice strong magnetic hold for the headphones to drop into - but a space within that's ergonomic enough to allow you to take them in/out of the case without issues.Battery life: The battery life offered with the case is absolutely insane and might be one of the best I've experienced. In the 10 months I've had these, I've probably charged the case less than 10 times and the headphones have never run out of juice. Case charges super quick too and the contrast was stark between these and my old xm3 buds in this area.A small point, but the case is quite a nice shape too which I find nice for putting in my pocket vs some of the other bulkier ones I've used in the past.Design: The design of the headphones are with a stem, which personally I went looking for after having had a pair of Sony xm3 buds and missing able to readjust the head without pausing or changing the song. I don't have particularly slender fingers though, so thats probably personal preference.Controls: Touch controls on these are really good for the price point. I have a few issues with the double/triple taps which is maybe an area which exposes the price point of these headphones - but the play/pause is absolutely fine, so personally not much of an issue for me.Connectivity: Always connects perfectly fine to my phone. Very occasionally (Im talking about 2-3 time total) there have been a small connection issue to my phone, but putting the headphones back in the case, closing and then reopening seemed to fix anything happening. Also could've easily been my phone playing up so not been a concern.Weight: Headphones are lightweight but also stay firmly in my ear. Can't say they feel any more or less comfortable than other pairs, but their light weight does probably let me keep them in for longer than my older pair.Overall: At a low price point, these headphones are quite difficult to beat. Classic Anker quality, an almost ludicrously good battery life and a well designed case and pair of buds. If you're looking for some quality, convenient daily earphones that you wouldn't feel dreadful about losing, I'd honestly say you probably don't need to look much further.

Great ear buds made even better with some custom EQ
After a cheap pair of in ear buds I've used for a couple of years wore out I started looking for a replacement. I already had over ear Soundcore headphones that were quite good so started reading reviews of the Soundcore range and also looking at measurements on rtings.com and selected the Liberty 4 NC.Initial impressions were quite good but like most Soundcore headphones they are quite bass heavy by default with thunderous bass with a bit of clarity lacking in the midrange as a result. This can be seen on the frequency response measurements on rtings.com, which show about a 6dB emphasis of bass, a dip around 3Khz, (losing midrange attack) a peak around 6-8Khz causing a little bit of sibilance and not quite enough at the very top. Still pretty decent but could be better. One of the great features of the Soundcore range is the custom EQ options in the mobile app which can be used to tailor the sound. I worked out a custom EQ based on the measurements from that review and refined slightly to my tastes which I've attached an image of for anyone that wants to try it with these ear buds. In my opinion this gives a very neutral sound with good clarity and attack in the midrange, eliminates the sibilance and still maintains very satisfactory bass that goes down to about 25Hz. With this setting they sound better than my over ear sound cores headphones...Opinions on these with custom EQ applied:The sound is very neutral, they can play very loud without any audible breakup or distortion in the bass, midrange is now clean and clear, very high treble above 10Khz could be slightly better but they sound great. They are not fatiguing to listen to.The active noise cancelling is simply amazing. Anything below about 5Khz is almost eliminated when it is enabled, and the physical isolation takes care of most of the high frequencies. When used in a vehicle they cut out nearly all road noise and rumble and allow you to listen at saner volume levels.Unlike my over ear headphones, there is very little frequency response shift when enabling or disabling noise cancellation, just a slight drop in the lower midrange when it's enabled, but barely noticeable. As noted in all the reviews I read, the active passthrough mode is not good so I don't use that. It doesn't let enough through to engage in clear conversations and still cancels out the bass even in "full range" mode, so it sounds quite odd and I find myself just removing one to speak anyway. I stick to normal (passive isolation) and noise cancellation modes.Battery life is amazing - according to reviews one of the best on the market and I don't doubt it. I've had it for nearly a month now and used it at least an hour a day and still haven't had to recharge the case yet with the app indicating the case is still half full. The ear tips are very short and you initially feel like they won't go in far enough but they sit comfortably and stay in even if I'm moving around a lot or eating without working loose, I was quite surprised as my old ones felt like they went in better but worked loose easier and needed a lot of re-adjustment. If you allow ear wax to build up on the silicone tips that may start to come loose though so keep them clean. The case looks big in reviews but is still tiny in person and still easily fits in a jeans pocket with a set of keys and the way it flips open is great. As soon as you flip the case open it start pairing to the phone even before you take them out of the case which reduces connection time. If you need to reset them you can hold down the button on the case for 10 seconds which is handy to know.Microphone quality on calls is not as good as some other but still very decent with other people hearing me no problem. You can customise the single, double, triple tap and long press actions on each ear bud which is nice and also have a separate configuration for when you are only wearing one.Range is surprisingly good for small ear buds - nearly 10 metres from the phone in my testing. We bought a second pair of these for my girlfriend as she needed new ear buds and liked them so much as well - both pairs we have sound identical. In short these are excellent earphones but just be aware that the passthrough mode is not great and the default EQ is very bass heavy with a bit of sibilance and lack of clarity in the midrange but is easily fixed with custom EQ.
