Derwent Twin Hole Pencil Sharpener with Container, Black Fine Art Sharpener

You wouldn’t think a sharpener could be so good! Or any different from any other sharpener (as I did) but honestly, this is the best pencil sharpener I’ve ever used! I’m an artist, I’ve used many many over the years, and this one is hands above any of the others! It sharpens into that ‘brand new point’, every time, old pencils are brand new again with that particular angled point. I’m excited to sharpen pencils now! Yes I’m obviously getting old when such a thing brings joy, lol, but what can I say, new sharp pencils are a delight to any artist!It was a tad difficult to get out at first, to empty, but once you’ve done it once then it’s easier thereafter. Compact with a flip lid and 2 sizes to accommodate most if not all of your pencils.I love it and definitely recommend it, you’ll see what I mean about the new pencil points!So if your thinking about it, get it!..you won’t be disappointed:)

A lightweight sharpener with two size options. Very sharp blades. Holds a reasonable amount of shavings and easy to open and empty. Achieves a long, needle- like point on your pencils, ideal for fine detailed work. Good value.

Works well , had to see a video to see how to empty it ! Maybe I was a bit tired lol

The blades are sharp and it works well with both standard and thicker pencils.However, it is quite hard to empty the sharpener. I found that placing it flat on the table and then pulling from both sides is easier (see photo for reference).Personally, I would not pay full price for it, but it is good value when discounted. I bought this when it was on offer for £3.85, which I think is a fair price.

It does sharpen pencils of differing diameters OK.

I agree 100% with Ella1999's review - the best way to open it to remove the sharpenings is to hold the black base and pull the clear plastic bit out. And at the nearly £5 price I paid, it's not good value for money.The sharpener itself seems decent quality, it's the small, cheap, flimsy casing that lets it down.

It’s a good pencil sharpener , I use it for watercolour pencils . The only downside about it is I think it’s fiddly when emptying it . Maybe it’s me but getting the two sections apart I spill some of the contents sometimes .However I like that it is efficient and does not break the point of the pencils / crayons .

This is just a sharpener, but it’s my favorite one so far! Does a great job, doesn’t fall apart easily… Easy to use
