White Nights: The Novels of Fyodor Dostoevsky Paperback – January 20, 2016

It is very short, but I enjoy the writing style so much. I wish it were longer. His characters are so alive to me. The passion is felt sincerely. Excellent book.

An interesting story that resonates more with younger readers but has all the hallmarks of Classic Dostoyevsky.

He you are expecting Audible quality performance on this, you will be disappointed, but if you are looking for someone to read Dostoyevsky to you for less than a dollar, then go for it.

Book came in excellent condition. Wanted to try out a Dostoevsky, so I decided to start with this short story. It was interesting and took a minute to get used to his way of writing, but im glad that I read it. The second half was a lot more intriguing than the first half. Characters were impulsive and honestly a little shallow, but I could be missing the point. The descriptive language he used is what made the book enjoyable for me being a first time reader of his stuff. I would probably be interested in reading another short novel of his before I committed to a more lengthy one.

Short and vivid, I love Dostoevsky’s prose and ambiguity. Definitely a recommendation for readers interested in Dostoevsky and many great classic writers.

There were so many relatable details in the story telling I could have sworn it was my autobiography. Though my fingers were crossed for an unexpected happy ending, I realized that for it to be my autobiography, the story had to end exactly the way it was written.
