Good starter composter unit
Decent quality and works as advertised. But it is hard to rotate when completely full, and I had to ease back on the amount of water in the mix because it stays too moist. Overall a good starter composter. I have a pile on the ground composting right next to it and they are both doing the same job. I’m new at composting so there is a learning curve, but I will keep this to keep experimenting with it.

A year later...I have compost!
I had worries that this thing wasn't working. But I checked on it recently after first having filled it up over a year ago and was pleasantly surprised to see moist compost! As the top had not processed, I had simply assumed the rest of it hadn't either. It wasn't until I tumbled it and looked "underneath" that I saw almost all the kitchen scraps had broken down. Now I have more compost than I need for my small patio garden. Keep in mind that I largely neglected this tumbler, spinning at most once a week, if that, though I was pretty good about ensuring that it stayed moist, even through the summer months. If you're more engaged with your tumbler, you'll have faster results. There's a bar that runs through the center that helps to break up the material. Rather than spinning it quickly, move it panel by panel and listen for the sound of the contents falling to the other side.I started with hydrated pine pellets (intended as horse bedding) from Tractor Supply (probably too much) and kitchen scraps. 7:3 ratio. The compost produced was moist, medium-brown...not quite dark, forest-y soil but it did smell of clean earth. In my newly started batch, I'm doing more of a 1:1 ratio. If it smells, I'll add more pine pellets. For a two-person household that largely cooks at home, eats out about two times a month, I would estimate I need 12 of these to process all of our organic waste in-house. Obviously, I'm not buying 12, but that gives me a good sense of the volume of space required.I expect my next batch to process faster as I left some of the last batch to innoculate the new batch (not sure this is how it works) and there's a lot less brown material in my "recipe."I can't tell you the joy I felt spreading all this homemade compost throughout my patio garden and feeling I was a small step closer to closing the loop. All remaining organic waste, which is 90% of it, I haul away to a community compost site. I look forward to the day when I can be free of this chore and instead have compost to give others.I give it four stars because the plastic does bulge a bit under the weight of the contents. Otherwise, it's holding together. I'd estimate this can process 8 gallons of densely packed kitchen waste in each cycle, assuming things are chopped to 1-2" chunks.

Nice composter, needs some hand strength for assembly
As described. The instructions for assembly were good, but snapping things together and stretching the connecters required more hand strength than I have. My adult son put it together with minimal trouble (some of the screw/bolt holes were a little tight). Customer service was responsive, when I wrote with a question -- which is why I'm giving 5 stars instead of 4. I would definitely buy this product again.

Needed replacement part...
There aren't many parts, so when the center pole had the holes in the wrong location and were the wrong size, I was worried.Customer service were responsive and sent out a replacement part quickly. However, while both ends now had the correct size holes, the location was too high on one end. We made it work, but couldn't attach the end plastic piece. It really shouldn't be this hard to get a couple of holes in the correct place.I think it was expensive for the quality of the parts, but we're looking forward to making compost.

Excellent Product - Outstanding Customer Service
I’m very happy with this compost unit and wish I would have purchased it a long time ago. The quality is great and assembly was easy following the online instructions. Customer service is outstanding. I broke a couple clips during assembly so be careful when you push them in. I used their online Contact Form to ask for replacements and received some extra clips within a week!

Sometimes a Workaround is Required
I had one problem with this project. The instructions were excellent, and I followed them to a T. When it came to attaching the very last panel to the door, the tabs would not line up. I double checked everything. Everything else was fine. I wrote to Support, but being an impatient woman. I got up the next morning and decided to do my own work around. I used my Dremel to trim the tabs on both the door and the panel. The rest of the project went ahead without a hitch. Not sure why they wouldn’t align, but I’m happy with the result. This is exactly what I needed for my small patio. I will use it to cure the compost from my Reencle and add things like cornhusks and cobs that the wrinkle can’t really handle even when they are cut up small. I live in a condo and could not handle a composter any larger than this.
