Cafflano Klassic, All-in-One Pour-over Coffee Maker, Red

Awesomeness, makes a good brew and basically works flawlessly for the first few weeks I've had it.There are two possible tweaks for improvement, as the other review suggests the base is too big to fit in a regular cup holder, that said I wouldn't say it's "huge"? To me at least it seems a pretty normal cup-ish/flask sized thing when it's all together and a comfortable hold in the hand, I'd even suggest extending the base down a bit further so that it could continue the taper to fit cup holders, even though it would then be bigger. Secondly the lid on the top, I reckon with a little work this could have been made to screw into the hot water dispenser at the top and into the top of the mug section so that it offered some spill protection without having to finger hold it, perhaps even have a slider/flip in it provide a drinking spout? Both of these things a minor however a don't detract from it being a good bit of design work.

I ordered it a couple of weeks ago. Overall it's a great product to get a good coffee. It's portable to go around and not that big/in my thought/. The cons are the beans jump around when grinding, would've been great with something to cover the grinder and the kettle drips water sometimes outside the dripper. It's manageable so far and it's a great product. Thank you.

Love this device to bring freshly grind coffee to work from beans. Gives a time to have my own coffee making time in the morning and the talk of the office. Tasty coffee and really a compact gadget. A bit steep in price but worth it for coffee lovers out there.

spending at least 200 days a year away from home this is the perfect travel coffee companion... the design is extremely well considered. It is not a travel mug per se... more a complete coffee maker sans the kettle.I love the fact it does not require anything other than a source of hot water and coffee beans, and packs away in a tidy unit. I prefer this to a aeropress as it is less faffy and packs away into a tidy unit.

Have used this for 6 months now. Two design faults:1) There should be a cover to stop the beans falling out during grinding (also towards the end of the grind, bits fly out). It means you have to hold the device very firmly on a flat surface as you grind and try not to let it tip. Easier said than done!2) The filter container is too small. The mug is huge but to fill it you need to refill the filter container 3-4 times.Otherwise it's seems very sturdy and well engineered. My last (cheap) burr grinder broke after not very much use. I expect this one to last several years.

This little Gizmo is great if you are into GOOD coffee. Great control over grind size making for great cups of coffee.

This Kafflano all-in-one travel coffee maker cost £75 which is expensive but is relatively new to market and was crowd-funded.I regard myself as a coffee connoisseur so drinking the same quality of artisan coffee while travelling on business as we buy at home from 'roast and post' specialist suppliers of single origin coffee is a first world problem.I searched diligently for the best compact, robust, travel coffee solution to grind beans and brew filter coffee. This is it. It is not perfect but certainly delivered smooth, tasty, strong filter coffee for me.I used it successfully to grind beans and brew those grinds (admittedly quite coarse) and also to brew quality ($11 per bag) pre-ground, bagged coffee bought from a supermarket in the USA.The integrated stainless steel filter is quite easy to clean although coffee experts like James Hoffmann recommend inserting a filter paper over this. The build quality is robust and feels like it would last many years.

This is a great gift for a grounded coffee lover. My hubby often works away and this product is his life saver. He just takes coffee beans and this gadget with him. And can enjoy his freshly grounded coffee anytime and anywhere.Easy to use and not messy.Highly recommend!

Gostei do copo no q diz respeito ao moedor, é ótimo, gostei tbm da do recipiente de colocar a água quente pra passar o café, imita a chaleira bico de ganso perfeitamente. A única coisa que não gostei é que o copo q recebe o café passado não pode ser usado como copo térmico, dai vc teria que ter uma garrafa térmica pra armazenar em caso de consumir em viagem.

会社で淹れたてコーヒーを飲みたくて購入しましいた。オススメです。まず、ミルとドリッパーが一体になっているので、これ一つあれば豆から淹れられます。お湯は別途、沸かす必要がありますが、これだけの機能があれば個人的には満足です。肝心のお味は……、おいしいと億もいます。上からかぶせる容器に小さな穴が空いていて、ここから細いお湯を注ぐことができ、先端が極細のコーヒー用ケトルのような感じでお湯を注げます。沸騰させたお湯をこのカップに移せば、恐らく、抽出に適度な90度前後まで水温が下がると思いますし、よく考えられています。一つだけ、ドリップにはペーパーフィルターがあったほうがいいと思います。そのままで淹れると目詰まりをして、なかなかコーヒーが下に落ちません。私は借りたのウェーブフィルター155（1,2人用）を入れてからコーヒーを挽いています。こうすることで、淹れ終えたら紙を捨てればいいですし、目詰まりなくスムーズにお湯が下に落ちていきます。正直、あまり期待しないで購入したのですが、本当においしいコーヒーが飲めます。コンビニで買っている人がいたら、こちらに変えたらコンビニ40杯分くらいでもとを取れます。何より、コーヒーを挽いている時間は、仕事のリフレッシュになります。

I have searched for many years for a good way to make coffee while traveling. At home, I have an espresso maker and that is hard to beat. Over the years I have tried a travel French Press, a travel pressurized-plunger system with a separate bean grinder and premium instant. While each had their own advantages, none offered me the consistency and convenience that I wanted. In particular, I wanted freshly ground beans for each brew as I have found this to be one of the most important factors for a good cup.Then I found this maker, the Cafflano Klassic. It is a fairly compact and light weight all-in-one grinder, brewer and drinking cup. It is sturdy, well made and constructed from quality materials. It is a pour over system that makes an excellent, well rounded cup of coffee. It is easy to use, easy to clean and is completely self contained. It does take some patience, as pour over takes a few minutes to complete. I am OK with that as the smell of the beans, sounds and vibrations of grinding and the aroma brewing are an enjoyable way to start the day for me. Considering the time required though, it is probably better as a personal device than for a group, although the amount it brews in one go could easily be split between two people.It did take me a bit of time to optimize to my taste and there are no instructions for this in the package. There are a few how-to videos online and I built off of those, as follows: I fill the beans to the middle line in the grinder, that gives sufficient coffee for a strong and smooth cup without wasting beans. I have the grinder set to 5 notches off of completely shut ("0" point)-this gives a fairly fine grain size for good, but not over extraction. When I start to brew, I first lightly moisten the grounds, wait 20-30 seconds and then start a slow pour. The entire brew takes about 3-4 minutes to fully drain out and stop dripping. The drinking cup is thermal and keeps the coffee warm for a while.All aspects of it are cleverly designed, for example, the flat "cap" on top unscrews and acts as a cover for the pour over "kettle" while brewing and also acts as a cover for the drinking cup (but it does not screw-on like a travel cover would). Inside the bean hopper and the "kettle" are lines to help you measure the quantity of beans and water, respectively.The price is a good value considering all that it includes. And it makes great cup of coffee.
