Well-made, bright, useful
This is an excellent light, particularly for the price. Having built-in USB charging is very handy, it has an even beam pattern and nice CRI.Although I love the convenience of Olight's magnetic charger, when my Baton II's battery started giving out, I decided I wanted a light which used standard Li-Ion cells and had better CRI. Sofirn certainly delivers. Build quality is on par, brightness is better, color rendering is MUCH better, and the included battery delivers its claimed capacity.Actual diameter is 25.05 mm at the head.

Very light and small, great Nichia 519a
This thing is so much smaller than I thought, it's barely bigger than an 18650 itself. Must be one of the smallest 18650 lights out there. This review is for the high CRI Nichia 519a led model not** the original with sst40. Nichia 519a never disappoints, great 5000k pure white, no blue or green tint at all, it's my favorite emitter for edc.Tail switch is the same sofirn/wurkkos one that's on the ts10 and sc33, which is to say it's great! Read reviews that the UI was weird on this light but it's not at all. The only "quirk" is when you're in turbo a single click takes you back to mode memory and not off like most lights but that's it (unless you double clicked from off, then 1 click does turn it off). Not a big deal at all. Like most sofirn lights, this will not remember turbo in stepped mode, but it will remember it in smooth ramping. Also not a big deal as you can always get to moonlight, user select, or turbo right from off. If they had included Andruil 2 this light would have been perfect, but the UI is very similar to simple Andruil mode. This is a great light due to the great tail e-switch, amazing 519a emitter, and tiny size and light weight. The Fresnel lens is also unique and works very well and is the only light I have with that. Beam is definitely floody, so a dedicated tactical light this is not, but it is a great edc light!!! I'm very happy with it for sure. If you like this one, check out the wurkkos ts10, or noctigon d4k next.

Very small light!
I got this light as a gift for my mother in law. My goal was to get her something 1) USBc rechargeable 2) high capacity + standard battery (18650 in this case 3) good color rendering 4) small. She likes it, so that's as good a recommendation as I can give. She easily understood how to use it, no accidental strobing.Easy interface:Hold button from off for moonlightPress once for on to last modeHold to cycleDouble tap for turboTriple tab for strobe-double tap change strobeThe LED in this is genuinely amazing, nothing looks washed out! It does get hot on turbo but that's the price you pay, it can easily maintain 300+ lumen without getting too hot, which is more than enough for a walking-around light with the occasional output burst.Worth focusing on the size of this light, it's tiny! It's astounding it all fits in there. And it feels very lightweight. Not flimsy to me, just svelte. And it uses standard 18650 batteries, so in a few years when it dies it'll be an easy swap (like changing an oversized AA).Pictures are of box, turbo, and moonlight.

Great flashlight - bright - illuminates very large areas
What an awesome little flashlight. This thing packs a punch and lights up massive areas. I have another flashlight that is bigger but it does not perform as good as this one. Very happy with the purchase and price - best bang for the buck

Good Light With A Few Quirks
(Update after several months: This light has been great and is now my EDC. I was incorrect in my initial review about accessing moonlight mode and have updated the review accordingly.)I've spent just over a week with this light and so far I've enjoyed it. It has been suitable for light- to medium-duty tasks like dog walking, auto repair, and general home use. Like any light, there are a few quirks that the user can learn to live with. I would rate it more like 3.8 stars given the option, but I'm willing to give it 4.In The Box:In the standard Sofirn brown box are the light, a USB-A to USB-C cable, two spare o-rings, a lanyard, and printed instructions. The light has Sofirn branding.Physical/Ergonomics:Whether or not this is an EDC light is down to user preference, although it is significantly shorter than "traditional" sized 18650 lights. The two-way clip is not low profile, and can protrude excessively outside the pocket. Clip retention is good.Coating on light body and clip seem resilient. The tailswitch is wide with short travel and is minimally recessed and unshrouded, likely in an effort to reduce overall length. This makes it somewhat easy to actuate unintentionally. The charging port cover appears durable and opens with an audible "pop," indicating good environmental sealing.USB-C charging is nicely integrated and very convenient.Performance:Light tone is good and colors resolve well, but I have no means of quantifying this.Brightness is good. Reduced brightness compared to several other 18650 lights is a tradeoff I am willing to make for good CRI.Beam pattern is fairly floody but not overall too wide, with a smooth transition from medium sized hotspot to soft edges. Good for close-to-medium range with good peripheral illumination and consistent detail resolution.Light head tends to get quite warm, even at moderate brightness. It quickly becomes uncomfortable in Turbo mode. I assume this is another form factor compromise. In practice it can be difficult to avoid touching the head on a light this short.I haven't done any intensive runtime testing.UI:UI is somewhat intuitive, although some compromises have been made for tailswitch-only operation.I like the ability to switch between stepped and ramped brightness adjustment. Blinks at the brightness extremes in ramped mode are helpful.Probably the most annoying factor with this light is startup lag. It's only a fraction of a second, but there is a noticeable wait between button press and light activation. The same lag occurs with inputs made while light is on. It's not unbearable, but can be inconvenient. For instance, I wasn't able to ID an animal running behind bushes because the light came on too late.[(Edit: I was wrong about this. Moonlight mode is accessed with a single long press from Off.) Moonlight mode can only be accessed after going into turbo mode. I don't think this was the right decision, as one can easily see how this could be annoying, blinding, or disorienting. The ability to start directly in Moonlight would be strongly preferable.]Consistency and reliability have been perfect once UI was learned and my inputs were correct. Conclusion:A good light with some flaws that can largely be attributed to its minimal form factor. Good overall light quality and pattern make it pleasant to use and provide great image resolution at close-mid ranges.Pros:-Compact length-Light quality and pattern-Environmental sealing-USB-C charging-Durability-Optional stepped or ramped brightness adjustmentNeutral:-Two way clip is not low profileCons:-Startup lag-[(Edit: Not a con. User error.)Moonlight mode hidden behind Turbo mode]-Can get quite warm-Easy to accidentally actuate tailswitch

Broken out of the box
The light came in and the battery is dead, wont take a charge and to top it all of the unit feels like it may have been machined incorrectly. The instructions tell you to remove the tail and the head of the unit, but the tail is LOCKED on there.Maybe I got a defective one, maybe youtube hype is BS.
