Low sustainable brightness
The advertised 15000 lumens brightness is largely a marketing gimmick. You only get it for a moment when you switch on a freshly charged flashlight for the first time. The brightness starts diminishing immediately, and it falls to approximately 3000 lumens within a few minutes. One can only use built-in battery pack with this light, making it impossible to bring extra batteries. Heavy. Large diameter handle is reasonably comfortable only if you have large hands.

Proprietary battery
Version 1.0 had interchangeable batteries and you could use even a single 18650 to power it. The battery pack is essentially 4 18650s. This was convenient as you can carry extra batteries and if ultimately the provided battery died you could continue to use the flashlight. And that is now gone. These now have a proprietary battery which cannot be interchanged and you cannot use extra batteries in the field and once the battery dies the flashlight is dead. This is the step backwards. Very sad to see the Fenix brand to go this route.
