Very easy to use! However you do have to clean it off occasionally and try not to get anything on it. We use a lot of candles around the house. Anywhere from the master bedroom and bathroom to the living room and dining area. Even though you are supposed to be able to angled it and not have to tilt the candle. It's recommended that you do. If you get anything on it it won't work right until you clean it completely. Sometimes having to recharge it even though it's supposed to be fully charged. Seems like if anything touches the connector it just dies. Other than that it is handy to have around.

UPDATED May 3, 2018:Like the product very much. So much so that I bought a second one as a gift. I was very disappointed that the gift purchase arrived in different packaging and did not come with the nice reusable box like the first one. I think the person who received it as a surprise gift would have been all the more impressed had it been in the same packaging. By the way, I had it shipped directly to the person getting it as a gift.I considered upping to 5 stars, but the original packaging was one reason I purchased a second one and choose to not go with another brand.ORIGINAL POST: Glad I got it. Only 4 stars because it's too soon for me to know if it was worth the price, but my gut says it is.

The instructions and warnings are printed on the back of the box. Unfortunately there is a non-removable label stuck to the back that obscures about half the text. These are rechargeable and the part that I can read makes it clear that they are worried about these things catching on fire if you leave them plugged in too long. My memory is not perfect. Sooner or later I will inevitably leave it plugged in overnight and maybe set my house on fire. This is not a risk I am willing to accept.Less important, the unit requires a micro USB cable for charging and on the box it says that one is enclosed. I couldn’t find it.

I bought this as a donation to my church. Several times we have found that the butane grill lighter we use to light the candle-lighters, so I thought this would be a good replacement. It should last months between charges, and we don't have to worry about the kids getting ahold of a butane lighter.I've also used it to light both propane and charcoal grills, and it works just fine for both. I wasn't sure if such a little arc would work very well on charcoal, but it fired it right up (I use natural chunk and no lighter fluid).

Way better than matches. Like that it doesn't need batteries and can be charged through a USB cord. Only issue so far is this cord is very short. When plugged in it doesn't even reach my night stand. Luckily the phone charger I have is big so I can lay it on top of that. Didn't take very long to charge.Update 4 months later...Not working so well anymore. It turns on but doesn't light the wick as easily. Takes a minute of holding it against the wick. Sucks because I really liked it.

It diffently works but I must say I would rather use a regular long handled lighter. There is no flame just a very thin arc. If you break the arc it goes out. I used it for lighting candles so maybe it would be better for other uses.

Before buying this I didn't even know that electric lighters even existed. I skeptically started using it and it has been going strong for more than a week of 3-4 times uses every day. The flame is strong enough to light the cooktop, a candle and incenses. I am very impressed by the technology and by the build quality of this particular product.It charges from any USB source (cable was included).The safety button is easy to use, unlike many other gas lighters that have flimsy and awkward buttons.The bendable neck seems very sturdy.I really like it.

This is an excellent lighter and worth the price. The weight of the item when you hold it in your hand feels rock solid and not of cheap quality.The arc lights up instantly. We light the oil lamp twice each day in our prayer room and it has done well so far for a month withoutneeding a recharge.The USB cable that comes with the package is only a few inches long. It cannot be used from a practical standpoint.Use a phone charger USB cable or someother.
