This was a life saver for our most recent trip to Europe where temperatures got as high as 117F. While it didn’t stop me from feeling incredibly hot and sticky it did protect my skin from getting burnt, while being relatively light weight and easy to use. It still looks good as new, and will be a staple for me while outside this summer

I used this in the 110+ degree weather in Arizona and New Mexico. It felt like the heat was being reflected instead of absorbed as it would be when using a normal umbrella. It is small allowing for easy carry by hand or in a sling bag. The build seems good during the summer heat but, it might not be sturdy enough when it gets very windy and rains hard. I will be purchasing another though when they are back in stock.

The only downside is that it's small, so if you are looking for protection from the sun (as I am) then it will protect your head but none of your body or feet. For the rain I'd fear the same problem! If it were at least a few inches bigger I'd like it much more.So it's great... but... I may not use it as much as I could if it were larger. Seems almost like a kids' umbrella, at least not "normal" size. I'm keeping it, but very sad that it's great but too small. Why don't they make a larger version too? I'd pay more for a larger size if they offered it.I'll be using it but in a more limited manner than I would if it were bigger. Can you tell I'm disappointed by the size?Good quality of material and it will definitely protect from the sun, as the material is reflective and thick. Plus, the mechanism of raising and lowering the umbrella is very strong.Overall it's close but not 100 percent of what I need. I'm keeping it, but wish for more...

This is a great compact umbrella for use as a sunshade. I bought this for a Florida trip to a theme park that is notorious for having no shade. It gave me an instant drop in temperature and saved me from that Florida sun. Easy to pack, push button open and close.

I just received my umbrella and put it to test by holding it up against a large window where the sun was directly glaring into it. I opened it up and placed the umbrella fabric a few inches away from the glass. I was pleasantly surprised to see that no sun came through the fabric. I then held it up to the window where half the umbrella was in direct sunlight and the other half protected by the adjoining wall. There was absolutely no difference. I couldn't see any light coming through on either half.The instructions are on the hang tag attached to the handle. I like that the umbrella closes up by pushing the button in the same way one presses it to open it up. The only difference is that you have to the push the stem down towards the handle to latch it closed. It was easy enough to do and better than the complete manual process of less quality ones I have owned in the past. Once it latched, I gently pulled out the folds and was able to return it to the same neat way it arrived with the attached velcro strap.The sleeve is nice in that the closed umbrella slides easily into it and fits nicely. No skimping on the fabric and struggling to get it back in like another one I used own. The only improvement I would make might be a snap to keep the sleeve in place, but that isn't a deal breaker by any means. Highly recommend.All in all, this is a product I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to protect themselves from the sun during this record breaking summer heat. I will be buying another one of the same in different colors to share with family.

Defective . Opene but does not click and stay open it collapses making it useless
