Excellent replacement for fibre Broadband
SIZE MATTERSThe TP-Link M7450 mobile router is smaller than S23 smartphone. So it's very portable or can be used as a permanent home router.QUALITY LOOKIt looks 'cool' and feels good quality in the palm of the hand.FIBRE BROADBAND ALTERNATIVEI bought the TP-LINK M7450 to replace home fibre broadband and its proved to be even faster than the Vod Essentials broadband I had for 2 years.COST COMPARISON WITHLANDLINE BROADBANDI compared mobile networks signal strength I bought a bought a 24 monthb Unlimited Data SIM with a good strong 4G signal that works out at £10/month with no hidden additional costs.INTERNET SPEEDMy 4G signal is delivering average 46mbps download and 19mbos upload, which is more than adequate for streaming Amazon Prime video and Netflix, and to run my 14 devices connected to the router.ADDING UP TO 32 DEVICESWITHOUT LOSS OF PERFORMANCEThe router can be set to 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz. Which is important because all 12 of my smart plugs are 2.4 GHz + Amazon Alexa Echo (2nd Gen).I have successfully connected 10 smart plugs and Amazon Echo to the TP-Link M7450 router. with no performance issues.ROUTER SETUPSetting up the router is simple.Make sure the battery is charged. Insert your SIM card, switch on the router, and then search for the Wi-Fi access on your smartphone just like you would when connecting to any conventional broadband router. Enter SSID and Password as you would on any landline broadband router.ADDING DEVICESThe procedure is exactly the same as when adding smart plugs and other devices to a router.Remember to select 2.4ghz on the TP-Link M7450 if your smart plugs/devices ONLY work on 2.4ghz.TpMiFi ANDROID APPThe TpMiFi App which you can download, allows you to adjust router settings without pressing buttons on the router. There are also other settings available on the app that are not immediately accessible on the router.POWER SOURCE & BATTERY LIFEI keep the router plugged in with a USB cable. I've found that the claim of battery life lasting 15 hours is dependent upon low usage. If you using the router when travelling and spend a LOT of time on the Web, then have a powerbank or USB mains adapter handy and have a long USB cable handy. The micro-USB cable provided with the router is very short.GETTING THE BEST WiFi SIGNALIf using the TP-LINK M7450 for permanent 'home broadband' you will need to experiment to find the best location for the strongest signal.I use a small adjustible mobile phone stand and double-sided-sticky-tape to position the router in the perfect sweet spot at just the right angle.Using a broadband speed test App the router itself is working at 250mbps and my smartphone connection to the TP-Link M7450 is 46-54mbps.USE COMPATIBLE HARDWARETo get the best from this router your smartphone / laptop / tablet needs to have 4G compatible hardware. If your hardware is old and outdated then don't blame the TP-LINK router if your internet speed is poor.VERDICTConsidering connectivity, security, portability, and price, I consider this to be one of my best buys this year on Amazon.Amazon custome support is also excellent, which I've used often over the years, and which I greatly value for consistency in delivering the highest quality customer service.

My Go-To for Reliable Portable Internet
This TP-Link 4G LTE MiFi has been a solid bit of kit for me, going from a stand-in for home broadband to a faithful companion on cabin getaways. It's handled everything from demanding marketing and IT work with four devices connected to just streaming music for a couple of phones, and it's kept pace admirably.Speed and battery life are key here, and whilst it's 4G, it delivers a perfectly decent connection for my day-to-day tasks. Battery-wise, I'm looking at around seven hours, which is pretty good for a full day out, and the fact I can use it while it's charging is a definite bonus. Setting it up with a Smarty SIM was a doddle, and it holds its own for signal strength right alongside my mobile phone. There haven't been any faffy issues, and it's proved to be good value. While I'm eyeing up a future 5G upgrade for that extra bit of oomph, this 4G MiFi has been a reliable workhorse and a fuss-free way for me to stay connected, whether I'm working from home or chilling off-grid. It's a sound choice if you need portable internet without any unnecessary complications.

This does almost exactly what we wanted
I bought this product after reading multiple reviews about this and other similar. Finally it was down to this or a Sapphire 3 which I had previously hired for when we visited our little casa in Spain. The Sapphire 3 on hire did a good job but I took a punt and went for this. I was not disappointed. The village where our property is has limited phone coverage but this seemed to pick it up and transmit with not much problem. Don't expect any technical jargon from me - sorry.I would really love to give this 5 stars but the only thing that is letting it down for me is; you can see how much data you have used but do not seem to be able to see how much data you have left on the card which is frustrating - I haven't topped the sim up yet so don't know if that will reset the device back to zero or just show the usage - if anyone can tell how much is left on a card then please please tell me how to do it i will make a donation to a charity of your choiceOther: the data sim card you put in, ensure it is suitable with the country that you are travelling - sounds obvious but I thought you could just buy a pre-loaded data card and away you go to Spain etc. When I tried to buy a card from O2 they told me it wouldn't work in Spain if you bought in UK. If the card was on a plan it would work but not a pre-load. Buying in Spain was easy enough but you need to make sure you have your passport or NIE

Tp-link m7000 mifi
Tp-link M700I wish people were clear and honest in their reviews. Prior to purchase I read Amazon’s and maybe 10 other peoples. If I’d read further down the list I’d have read one which highlighted the rubbish.Firstly, the instructions are poor to say the least. Inserting a SIM card is the most frustrating and awkward experience. The sim holder is so flimsy that tp-link provide a little piece of sticky tape to hold it in place, which I suppose is ok unless you intend to remove the card numerous times. The lights on the device indicating whether you have a WiFi connection or not don’t remain on so, if you’re unsure you have to keep pressing the button. Lastly, and most importantly, there are only a small number of network SIM cards that will work, Sky mobile doesn’t! Don’t even think of downloading tp-links config settings page unless you have a Masters in computer science………..It’s getting returned.

Stay connected.
Why did you choose this product over others?:Reading reviews helped us to decide on this small mfi. It was very easy to set up (even for us 70+ technology stumblers!)We tested it by switching off home wifi and were able to immediately connect iPad and phones to it. We’ve since used it in our touring caravan and have stayed internet connected, using a data only sim. We can keep an eye on data usage through the TP-Link website. All in all we’re very pleased with this small piece of inexpensive equipment.
