I have a section in my dashboard this fits in perfectly. I’ve had countless items on my dashboard that have not moved an inch. It did get a little dusty and was not sticky at all, but I rinsed it with water and it was good as new.

This item is very sticky. I was expecting it to be one of those mats that don't feel sticky but hold in place, but this thing feels sticky. That being said, it doesn't leave a residue once removed, so I really don't have any complaints. I do use it inside, so I don't know how it would perform in the heat, like in a car in the South.

It works to keep items in place, but then gets stuck to item and the whole pad gets lifted up.

I use the bigger one on my steering wheel to hold my phone, and the smaller one on my dashboard to hold the coins I throw there occasionally. They hold objects really well and don't leave a stain. I just have to rinse them with plain water occasionally to remove the dust that decreases the effectiveness. Highly recommended.
