Very cleverly crafted "mockumentary" send-up..
It's often said that Dali as an impressionist painter needed to know how to paint "properly" before he could then paint in his known-for abstract way, for without the understanding of the fundamentals, he could not "bend" and distort them in such a way that they were still familiar to us.The same can be said for this collection of "mockumentary" comedy; the observations that both Lucas and Walliams make and then distort to hilarious comedic effect, based upon the endless airport-based "fly on the all" documentary programmes that still fill our channels even now. They are all there, on show; the camp "personal shopping assistant" Moses, the lady who runs the coffee bar, but always skives off, the gormless baggage-handlers, the leering paparazzi photographers, the money-mad owner of an airline and so many more send-ups of the familiar characters from the "real" shows. It's only a shame that Lucas didn't want to pursue the format any more, as the BBC commissioned a follow-up second series, but although Walliams wanted to do it, Lucas wasn't interested. It's still one of the shows I can watch over and over again, and still find funny.

Brilliant
I must admit that I wasn't that great a fan of 'Little Britain', I personally found it a bit hit and miss, but when this first came on tv I thought I would give it a go, and now at last, I have bought the dvd, which I had kept meaning to do.Making a mockumentary in an airport, where we have had documentary series' before of such things may not sound like it would be funny, but Matt Lucas and David Walliams shows just how much room there is for comedy in such a situation. The characters that they have created work so well, especially as we can relate to them. Who hasn't worked with a character like Precious?, I know I have many a time. We probably all know a racist such as the Immigration Officer, who in this case will stop the legitimate people but quite ridiculously let in dodgy people. Moses for me works, because I actually used to work with someone who looked like him. All the characters we can relate to in one form or another, and we all know what it is like in airports. With a whole host of hilarious characters (who can forget the Japaneses schoolgirls who want to see Martin Clunes?) this is a comedy gem of a series. We have here two discs which show the whole series, they also have subtitles, also you have the Christmas trailer shorts, and a documentary with an interview between the two stars and Mark Lawson, which is well worth watching. All in all this is brilliant, and I am glad that at last I have got the dvd, roll on the second series.

Where did this brilliant series go?
I was never a fan of Little Britain so I can't compare. For me though, this series is just wonderful. The documentary style is perfect, and makes me laugh at real documentaries now when the voiceover is done in the same over-serious way. The characters, especially Precious Little, are wickedly humorous: "got no coorffeee" is now part of our family's vocabulary! And the pointed references to Easyjet are fantastic, with stand-up seats, credit card-accessed fixed-time lifejackets and the Greek owner. Some sketches fall flat and/or are overlong, but try watching Monty Python now and you'll find the same thing. Really, this DVD is just brilliant!

Let's fly away for 180 minutes of good old Lucas and Walliams
Speedy delivery... always a good thing! If you enjoyed Little Britain and want to get a bit more of Matt and David dressing up as women and using a wide variety of accents then you are sure to appreciate this series.Admittedly this series, for me, is not as funny as Little Britain but it has some equally memorable characters that you will grow to like or dislike (much the same with LB really). This time, the comedy duo have over exaggerated different scenarios and people you might find in an airport setting. Quite often you sit there and wonder where they get the inspiration for these characters but then you think actually there are definitely those sorts of people out there. In summary, a good series to sit and watch and at a fairly decent price as well!

Brilliant new comedy amist a sea of current rubbish
All the channels seem to be pumping out comedy shows and half the time not even bothering to make sure the programmes are funny. 'Come Fly With Me' is brilliant and raises the bar even higher for comedy. I like allsorts of comedy, stand-up, panel shows, character comedy, sketch shows, films, sit-coms, I don't have a prefrence so I am reviewing this fairly and evenly as comedy and not just as a character comedy program. The characters are very funny and the situations are hilarious. Lucas and Walliams seem to have a bit more of a playfulness about them like they had when they made 'Rock Profile'. I felt they lost something when they made 'Little Britian', although I did enjoy it, I certainly don't think 'Little Britian' was their best work. The behind-the-scenes film is really good, an insite into the creators and how they work and create together and how they need each other. Basically this is a brilliant show and if you like Lucas and Walliams other comedy programmes you'll love this. I hope I've been helpful.

Do yourself a solid; take a trip with the come fly with me crew
The single best thing to have come out of the BBC. Honestly cannot believe how underrated this material is, I intend to re-watch this series for as long as it takes to be able to perfectly recite each episode or until a second series is produced - honestly the latter seems less likely.

Non all'altezza di Little Britain

Genialer Nachfolger von Little Britain
Very political incorrect - wie auch Little Britain.

Mr. Bean darf sich anstellen, in der Schlange.

Wish there was more than one series
I really wish there was more than one series of this. Work at an airport myself and although some of it is blown up for comedy, I can certainly relate to a lot of the scenes. It takes a certain person to get the humour, but I was laughing my ass off for most of it. They can do so much with only two characters, definitely worth the watch.

Divertentissimo!
Serie divertentissima, degna di Little Britain. Consigliatissima!
