Two Years of Gaming Glory, This Beast of a Monitor Still Blows My Mind!
Let me just start by saying, this monitor is a unit. After two years, it's still holding up incredibly well, and that says a lot! First things first, this 49-inch curved screen is like sitting in front of a spaceship's control panel. It's massive, immersive, and honestly, it took two of us to assemble it (seriously, get a friend, this thing weighs 31 lbs without the stand). But once you get it set up? Absolute gaming bliss. With its 240Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time, it's a dream for fast-paced gaming, everything feels buttery smooth, and the image quality is phenomenal thanks to the 5120 x 1440p Dual QHD resolution. Playing games like Assassin's Creed or World of Warcraft on this thing is like being pulled right into the action—it's that immersive. The 1000R curvature isn’t just a gimmick, either. It wraps perfectly around your field of view, and after a while, you don’t even notice the curve, you just feel like you’re inside the game. The colors are insanely vibrant thanks to the QLED display, which covers a whopping 125% of the sRGB spectrum, and the HDR1000 capability makes those dark, shadowy caves in games look absolutely stunning. You’ll also appreciate the subtle details that pop in HDR-supported games like Destiny 2, it's an experience!Let’s talk about multitasking, this monitor is like having two or even three screens in one. With the Picture-in-Picture (PiP) and Picture-by-Picture (PbP) modes, I’ve had a browser, Discord, and my game all open at once, and it handles it all like a champ. It’s a game-changer if you're a multitasker or work from home. Now, a few things to keep in mind: this monitor is huge. It will take up a lot of desk space (45 inches wide and 21 inches deep), so measure your setup before you commit. It's also heavy, so mounting it on a stand requires extra caution. But once it’s in place, it's rock solid. Another note, this monitor is pricey, but after two years, I can confidently say it's worth every penny if you're serious about your gaming and productivity. One of the few minor gripes? Some older games won’t natively support the 32:9 aspect ratio, so you may see black bars or have to tweak the settings to fill the screen. But for most newer games, it's absolutely flawless. In summary: if you're looking for a monitor that will blow your mind, both in size and performance, and you're willing to invest in high-end gear, the Odyssey G9 is an absolute beast. Just make sure you've got enough desk space and maybe a spotter when setting it up. Two years in, and it’s still the best gaming investment I've made!

Fantastic monitor, suggested to me by some experts in the space
This monitor was suggested to me by a Discord server full of people with some expertise in this space. They have compiled tons of research into a spreadsheet and this is the one that suited my needs perfectly. I was advised to save money and get this G9 rather than the G9 Neo, as the difference between the 2 isn't worth the increased price. This is cheaper and better than the competition, which is surprising since Samsung are usually nowhere near as cheap as its competition, but this monitor is leaps and bounds ahead of anything else that I could find similar to this.It felt like a no-brainer, and right they were; this monitor is absolutely fantastic. The quality is blowing my mind still today, the speed is great, the way my games look ... I can't express how beautiful they are. GTA V with the graphics mod known as NVE (Natural Vision Evolved) looks out of this world on ultra settings. Microsoft Flight Simulator on ultra is beautiful, WoW even looks insane on this monitor. Most importantly, however, I bought this monitor for sim-racing. It's exactly what I needed for that, and ticks all of the boxes. I have no issue with motion, colour range, brightness / darkness or any of that stuff. The one thing this monitor scored quite low on was black uniformity but for me I've not noticed that it's bad at all, perhaps I need to be a completely dark room to spot that; I usually have a lamp on.I'm no expert when it comes to knowing what I'm on about with monitors which is why I let the experts provide the data and I made my decision based on that.No regrets at all, it looks awesome (front and back) and has completely changed how I race and how I write code.

Best 49” OLED Monitor
Was a bit skeptical about my first OLED monitor and going for a 49” but honestly it’s fantastic, the colours look amazing, playing games on this compared to normal, you do notice a difference, I’ll always save and go OLED in the future, the monitor is brilliant quality, I love the curve it’s great for gaming especially racing or fps, mainly played Back4Blood & Predecessor, the size is crazy but it fits well, I had used it on a monitor arm for a while and it was fine but I’ve got it back on the stand, also has some rgb lights build into the back near the stand, had this monitor for 6 months now and had no issues with it
