HOMUS 7 Inch High Heavy Duty Steel Platform Bed Frame/Base, Fit for Mattress and Box Spring (QUEEN3)

I don't even know the capabilities of the frame because they sent me a frame that has misaligned holes. I finished putting it together except for one corner. Which many of the hole aren't aligned quite correctly to begin with. So I just spent two hours pushing screws to fit through holes because most of them were only a little bit off. But now I get to the very last corner of the bed and the holes don't match up enough for me to fit the screw. I have never been more upset being as I spent ~ $133 on this stupid thing. Now I have to unscrew everything and return it. I'm so pissed. Waste of time. Waste of effort. (I always thought bad Amazon review were bogus. And that it was unreasonable for people to be so upset about things but now I see.)

The frame seems solid. We think it actually improved our old and somewhat worn-out mattress set. Assembly is quick and straightforward. To those who may be reusing a headboard from a previous bed, I would recommend stopping at your local hardware store and pick up some larger washers, as the holes in the frame are fairly large. NOTE: There are no holes for a footboard. This is where the positives end.The box was torn on delivery. The package of bolts and nuts inside was punctured by the contents (luckily all of our parts were there). Make sure to count all your nuts and bolts before attempting to assemble. Numerous large scratches in the paint; none of the frame parts had any wrap or protection to prevent them from rubbing on each other in-transit. Some surface rust was showing from the inside of the frame.The posting on Amazon is misleading. The papers inside the box only mention a ONE YEAR WARRANTY, not five as the Amazon page shows. The paperwork included in the box also makes no mention about what the actual weight capacity is.

Son set up frame. Was a breeze and he loves his platform bed. He’s into the industrial look and he’s nailed it with this in his room. Great buy.

I have a very tall mattress and this ensures that when I fall into bed it is at a perfect height. There is definitely enough storage capacity underneath as well. Even my medium sized dog likes to make a nest under it. I like how sturdy it is too. Assembly was OK, especially since I had help. Would I buy this again? Definitely. But it is strong enough that I don't think I'll have to!

Very easy to put together. Study and well built. My only issue is that the frame itself is much wider that the mattress which we have remedied with foam to protect our shins. If you are looking for something sturdy and inexpensive this is it.

Good, sturdy quality. We're using it with no box spring. But it IS a toe-stumper :(

I bought this for my new out of the box mattress. IT IS NOT to be used with just an out of the box mattress!! The base is made to be used for box spring and then mattress over that because the planks are small and far appart that if you only put a mattress on top it would just squeeze between the planks.MY PLAN ALL ALONG was to buy this base and then add plywood on top of the planks the size of the bed to create a solid surface to sit my new out of the box mattress. The instructions ARE VERY VAGUE but I am very mechanically inclined but I did do a mistake, PAY ATTENTION to how the legs go , it does say that it matters on the instructions but it doesn't say how or why or has a clear instruction on how to do it, they just say do it right basically. THE LEGS ARE NUMBER A1,A2 there's 2 of each, and they have to be in opposite corners A1 and A2 opposite corners and viceversa. DO NOT DRILL to make bolts go trough you have to juggle a little on my frame all holes are good. Use the allen wrench to guide bolts trough holes.It is a solid base , I like it, its doing its job and it is easy to put together.

Pieces were missing, and what we were given seemed to belong to 3 different sized frames. The outer frame was the queen I ordered, but the inner cross was to small I'm guessing a full size. It was a terrible pain to put together. After shipping it back for a refund I stopped at Walmart and picked up a queen/king convertible platform frame. Not only was it $50 cheaper, but only took 4 bolts to fasten. It's strong and sturdy and I highly recommend it. This frame however...trash.
