Had them nearly 4 years and they are awesome!
I bought these in summer 2009, they came fast, well packaged and easy to set up.The sound out of them is immense, these are proper room speakers. The bass is tremendous, rich and perhaps a bit overbearing even on the lowest setting - the harder, structured part of floorboards is probably the best placement for the neighbours if you live in converted flats. This system sound is better than any audio stack system at a similar price than i have ever experienced. If you like your reggae like me, they are simply wonderful and handle even yahadanai and you wont miss the extra few quid over the market price of more flimsy popular units. Movies sound great too, and spoken voice whether from streaming or skype is never distorted your end. These are sturdy, solid and dependable. The unit has never broken down in 4 years or given me anything other than pure quality, volume and pleasure. I shut one of the small speakers in a door and it lost its footplate which wont go back on, but that was a hefty sudden whack it withstood (a suitcase fell from a height at the door and it was my own silly fault for putting it in the doorway) but despite the trauma, the speaker itself just works as well as it ever did, and having it on its side doesnt affect the sound quality (well not to my notice anyhow). The free-standing volume control knob is by far the sexiest bit of audio kit i've ever seen - i bought this unit for the sound quality reviews but when i first saw and touched this control i was totally smitten - yes it is smooothe, there's a lovely little click in the bass unit when you switch it on/ off and a cute but not too bright blue light on it. It also has 3.5mm jack input/ output on it, extra to the one that comes out of the bass unit and therefore distant to the bass unit which is usually under a table somewhere.Absolutely nothing about this product has aged in any way in the last 4 years (accepting the abuse involving the door), this is a great investment and i came to this page today to see if amazon still have them, because i have some savings and am seriously considering getting an identical system for when my current one does finally peg it - but make no mistake, it doesnt look like thats any time soon and i just couldnt live with anything of lesser quality, so i'd rather spend the money now while i've got it. I'm not a fan of bluetooth and the upgrade by Creative, the T6 is wireless and that just doesnt appeal to me, even though it has the sexy little control knob..Buy this product and enjoy the bass, the longevity and quality.. but dont take the last one in stock because i'll probably have it!

Good quality-nice small form factor
-SOUND-Good pair of 2.1's. rich punchy bass, crisp highs, a little recessed on the mids, but not something that us unbearable, and some simple EQing could also help with this. but blind listening you would not guess the sound is coming from such a small pair of satellites. The bass is really strong, and i often put the dial at 30% to 50%, anything over that would be too much for a desktop near field setup imo. But this proves its potential for a small living room setup where stronger bass could be used to movies etc. The overall sound quality is good, and due to small size of satellites, positioning of them really do make a difference.-INTERFACE-nice solid heavy control knob, auto switch off/low power consumption mode that is handy to use.the control knob comes with a headphone override jack, and also an aux in. the aux in will play simultaneously with the RCA inputs behind the subwoofer, meaning to sources playing at once, which could be a negative or a positive thing depending on your use.the subwoofer is actually nicely shaped, fits perfectly under my table, decently small sized and suitable for most desks. All i/o's are behind the subwoofer including the bass knob.-PRICING-got them discounted for £140, it was a good buy, but honestly speaking, i feel they still are overpriced. i would only buy them again at under ~£110

Good Sounds
Theres no doubt the speakers give off a good sound. They also look very modern and compact. Only one criticism and that's, the control for the base is on the back of the subwoofer, so its down on hands and knees when you want to adjust it.I found that whilst playing music there were occasions when the sound became very distorted. I tried trouble shooting over the net with no luck. I looked into my system (Windows Vista) and tried the different permutations and number of speaker settings, none matched the creative giga works but that wasn't the problem. It turned out that it occurred every time the screen saver came on the pc the sound was distorted, also if I used other applications such as checking email, it interferes with the quality of the sounds. I have now adjusted the time before the screen saver comes on so I can listen uninterrupted to my music. It's a shame the speakers don't marry up exactly with the vista sound arrangements and speaker layout but they still perform well.

no mid range...
I have a set of creative 2.1 speakers I acquired in 2002, the creative inspire 2.1, they're old and not that powerful for someone who requires loud and tight bass... however, they still work and they sound good, I wish I could say the same for this speakers... The sub-woofer is perfect! tight, responsive bass like I've never heard before!! just perfect! the satellites however, perfect high range but almost no mid range whatsoever!!! It's horrible! I sent mine back! and lost 18 quid doing so because I bought it from a fulfilled by Amazon retailer who took 15% for the return as the original packing was opened.... I was expecting much more from creative!!!!! just a tip: if you listen to all kinds of sound, like I do, get a set of wharfedale 9.1, and a separate amplifier! I'm using a cheap lepai lp-2020A+ with a 5A power supply, and for the size of the room I'm renting is more than enough!!! perfect sound!
