FoodSaver 2-in-1 Vacuum Sealing System with Starter Kit, reg, Silver

I have had several food savers over the years and they continually improve them. This model incorporates all the functions a homeowner needs in what I consider a very improved design. The way you can see the sealing area on your bag as well as the sealing of a new bag at the same time is efficient and really saves bag material. You can adjust the bag to seal where you want. My old unit sensed if a bag was present but regularly folded the end of the bag over impacting the ability to reach full suction. This unit corrected the problem.

After unboxing, it took a day or two to get brave enough to attempt to figure out how to use it. After a couple of bags, I was a pro, even figuring out how to make odd size bags. I especially like the resealable bags. I have the perfect place in the kitchen so it can be left out and ready to use. I live alone and always need to freeze divided packages of meat and veggies and this is perfect. What took me so long?

Never could get it to work right

I had dragged my feet on buying a Food Saver and now wonder WHY did I wait so long!?!? I use it almost every day, from sealing veggies in the fridge to freezer meals. I recently purchased a bunch of the containers so I can meal prep as well.

I’ve used this mostly to seal meat for the freezer. It’s so nice to know I can buy meat on sale and safely freeze it for later. At this point I have probably sealed at least 250+ bags in the past three months. I love it!

I used this in July when I received it. Worked like a charm. Went to use it again today, and the vacuum doesn't work. I've tried if over and over. What am I supposed to do? It says the return time if up. Ugh.

This product has saved me money by allowing me to buy meat in bulk and properly freeze it without it getting weird in the freezer. The system is easy to use and a great value as I have not found it cheaper anywhere else. This is my most used small kitchen appliances.

I bought this to replace my other sealer, which was like this one. It has started to not vacuum seal very well and several packages don't stay sealed. I wouldn't buy this again especially for the price I paid!!!
