Used this Chinese powder for year now and it’s so underrated. Usually feel calmer and more level-minded after taking it.

I got this because this is one of the most important preventatives that I take IMO. I started taking this after reading an excellent article discussing what the scientist were finding with Gynostemma. The results were very impressive and consistent leaving little doubt. If you search for "fighting properties of Gynostemma 2022" the first result will be an article by Life Extension and it will be very clear what all this entails. To be clear here Gynostemma is aka known as Jiaogulan. The article came out in 2022 and that's how long I have been taking it.Now interesting facts about this ingredient. It goes way back to ancient medicine. And has been credited with helping with a lot of things. Many many things and one I see a lot is Cholesterol and Glucose. For me with those two specifically I did not see any benefit but I very much believe for some people it may. I see that a lot with supplements and sometimes my spouse gets a benefit from a supplement and I don't and vice versa. This Gynostemma has often been said to be similar to Ginseng and sometimes even called Southern Ginseng. But Scientist have yet to find the same cognitive benefits it has even though it has a high amount of Gynsenosides like Ginseng. What they are finding is a prophylactic use more than rehabilitative or therapeutic. Some have claimed that Jiaogulin prevents hair loss possibly and that has not been debunked yet that I am aware of. Also many many studies show that AMPK is activated with Jiaogulin and a 2109 study theorized this is why the test mice loose weight with it.Now with the dosage this is the amount I have always taken ,,9000mgs if you consider the extract conversion with the 450mgs with 1 cap. Do notice and take care if you look up the dosage there are many sources quoting amounts for horses,,, as supposedly they get a lot of energy from Jiaogulin and run faster. You of course do not want that dosage amount. I advise sticking with what is recommended on this bottle. This brand BulkSupplements are very well known and have an excellent reputation. One of the reasons is because they third party lab test all their supplements. So there is no worry with fakes with this company. With 240 caps at this price I am very impressed. When I take Gynostemma I never feel or notice anything. I just trust it's doing it's job and stopping bad things. These were easy to take and I had no sides. Love it's only 1 cap for each day. This was a very good price for Gynostemma pentaphyllum extract. The serving size/dose level is higher than I'm used to - which is probably only because it's a different extract from a different company. Without more info, which I've been unable to find, I'm unable to do a true comparison between the products.There are no effects from this I can discern separately from the other things I reguarly ingest, other than me no longer gaining weight easily.I've been alternating 2 other gynostemma products for at least 2-4 years, one of which also has hesperidin in it. in 2018 or 2019 I was told 'you need to lose at least 30lbs' ... Well, as of January 2024 I've dropped almost 50 lbs -from 208 to 160!! and, for the first winter in 20+ years, have not gained any back.I swear by Gynostemma... if one moderates dietary intake a little and gets even moderate exercise while taking it daily, the Gynostemma definitely helps one lose the 'spare tire' fat around the waist- the fat that's the hardest on the body to have. :-) I am amazed at the results- although it was a slow process to lose the weight- which my medical team said is the best way to drop pounds.

This seems to be a good quality Jiaogulan so far.- Capsules are easy to swallow- No odd aftertaste or ill effects- Price/Value is very good- Label has GMP stamp and claims 3rd party lab tested (however I haven't seen the COA yet)I haven't had any problem taking these, but I'm only giving 4 stars for now until I have a chance to view a COA from the company for this product. If/when I receive that, I'll revise my review accordingly.

While the size of product is impressive. I would have liked to see some form of statement that product is free from heavy metals etc. Not a fan of fillers especially maltodextrin which is usually made from gmo corn. I notice that this company also produces organic supplements as well and I will personally go with those to make sure product is free from chemicals, gmo's etc....
