ICI Hammerite 5092938 Direct to Rust Metal Paint - Hammered Blue Finish 750ML

I like the fact that it contains phosphorus-based ingredients that convert surface rust.It is very tough - I’ve just bought another tin for the underside of the deck of my mower. A new deck pressing is £800, so in this context the pint is cheap.I like the fact that the hammered effect hides scratches and chips in the subsurface.I like the appearance, it has really transformed my old lawn trailer.This has been a popular and successful product for decades and there is a reason for this!One important point - if you are dealing with heavy rust, hack it all off first. You can paint over light rust but not great lumps!

Amazing paint. Great coverage and quality. Perfect colours to choose from. Easy to apply.

Restored an old tool box, very pleased with the paint.But it does take far longer to become touch dry and repaintable than suggested..

Does exactly what it says, can be painted onto rusty surfaces and makes them look nice and tidy.

This is so thick it totally covers any rust, fabulous luminous colour.

Got the hammered paint as easier to hide brush strokes. Painted 20 years old garden furniture consisting of 4 chair frames, 1 table frame, 1 sun lounger frame and 2 shepherds crooks and still plenty left over. Don’t be fooled by size of tin, it does go further than you would think.
