Didn't work for me
Didn't work on my camera for streaming so ordered the USB2 version which I already had one same and they work OK. For computer data I'm sure fine, but not for video streaming on JVC.

Amazing for the price! - Tripled by download speed on a X58 motherboard
I have a g1 guerrilla X58 Motherobard which has a Killer Network ethernet port, which are well know for their problems!I was getting 2 MB/s download on steam, however after plugging in this card to the PCI slot, windows 10 automatically detects and installs it (no need for the disk). I'm now peaking at 8 MB/s on steam, so well worth the money!100% recommend, at a great price!Comes with both a normal size bracket and a low profile bracket for slim/small form factor PCs

So now im a happy
Was a bit problematic when first installed, it wanted too run at 10mb instead of 1gb. I re-fitted my old card which restord the PC back to 100Mb. On a second installation attempt the PC ran at 1Gb straight away and has done ever since. So now im a happy bunny

Very good, does exactly as intended for.
Needed to add second Ethernet and this does the job fine. Fitted into empty slot, seitched computer on and Windows 10 recognised and set it up instantly.

Poorly made support bracket prevents correct installation
If the need wasn't urgent, this would have been returned. The low-profile bracket fits the card, but then stops the card fitting into the PCI-E slot as it holds the card just under 1mm too far away from the bracket. In order to get the server back into service I've had to fit the card without a support bracket - far, far from ideal. And it's hardly an unusual machine I was fitting it to - how many thousands of Dell Optiplex 790s are there out there?

Quality at a nice price
Edimax produces some very fine products.I bought this one, because the WiFi on my Macbook Pro tended to increase the computer temperature, during the summer period. Now I have this permanently attached on a USB 3 hub. I have gigabit speeds (60mb/sec is common) and no heating issues. This device needs a driver to function, at least in OS X. But the experience has been flawless.Highly recommended.

Four Stars
Works really well after I had my ethernet port damaged by power surge.

Cheap - but very cheerful!
Do not let the cheap price fool you. The build quality is not the best but it works very well, recognised by all systems of different ages - has even status lights, manual and driver disk. Highly recommended!
