Some dashcams will not enter parking mode
Powers a Lamtto screen with dashcam 24/7, however, when the engine is turned off, the dashcam does not detect that the engine is off and does not enter parking mode. Had to buy a hardwire kit.

Perfect Power For Dashcam
This device has been perfect for powering my dash-cam. Switched to the left, it only provides power when the truck's ignition is on. Switched to the right, it provides power continuously. So most of the time I leave it left, then my dash-cam only films my driving. But occasionally I flip it right, then the dah-cam also continues to record motion-events while parked. This lets me control what records, plus I don't have to worry about a permanently hard-wired dash-cam draining my truck battery.

It works...
I purchased this to free up a charging port, and it works. But, I tried the switch button for 24 Hours surveillance and it killed my battery. It does not shut itself off when the battery drops. It would be nice if mine did shutoff... But as far as my dashcam is concerned it powers it well.

Killed battery on two cars
Normally use the cigarette lighter option that came with the dash cam but wanted a cleaner setup. Was thrilled how easy it was to replace the cable that was taking up space in the center console. After a few days I went to start my car and my battery was completely dead, even with the option to only record when the car was on. Either I have a faulty switch on two cars or this product is misleading.

Powers off after 20 min, advertised to shut off in 5 min
Hooked the cable up for a quick test run before hiding the wire. I opted for the off in five minutes option. The switch was set to “O” and when the vehicle was started, the camera came to life. The ignition ACC position does not supply power to the camera. I turned the key off and had a timer set for five minutes waiting for the dash cam to power off. I thought this was really going to work, so I pulled out my original hidden wiring. The cam kept recording and I was mad at myself for removing the wire. I researched similar OBD cables and they advertise auto shutdown after 20 minutes. I started the vehicle, then shut it off and started the stopwatch. At the 20 minute mark, the dash cam shut off. I WAS RELIEVED that it worked.
