Heading to Yellowstone where the gases in the air can erode a lens' coatings. I wanted a relatively inexpensive UV filter to protect my lens. This filter was inexpensive, but I am impressed with its build quality, smoothness screwing on/off and packaging. It comes in a nice case with an added bonus of a lens cleaning cloth. After receiving it, I purchased a second one for a different lens.

So yep you can know the non stick works first time you clean it. I do not think this filter impacts image quality in a negative manner. It in fact seemed to be helpful on a sunny day by improving contrast. I did a rude test of all my UV filters and this one is good but not best. My test was using 2 different UV flashlights and shining them through the front of the filter. Some filters reflected more light than others and some passed more light through the filter. I tested B&W, Sirui, Manfrotto, Marumi, and Nikon L37 plus a Neewer MRC UV pro. They all limit the UV flashlight light from passing through. What was striking to me was that the Neewer MRC UV Pro stopped the most pass through and reflected a lot more of the UV light from 2 different flashlights. It is listed as a cut filter and it seems to be that. It cost $10 dollars more that the Neewer Nano HD MC UV filter. So for my use which was stopping blue haze at high elevation the Neewer MRV UV Pro might be the best choice that being said the Nano HD UV offers the non stick and other benefits for less money. I would spend the extra dough for the cut filter. From my test the second best was an old Nikon L37 which blocked the flashlight UV better than all but the Neewer UV MRC Pro. Overall Neewer seems to offer a quality product. Notable is the Pro filter spec states its transmission rate while the sister filter does not.

This saved my lens! I was just using this as a lens protector and that is a good thing cause I pulled my lens out of the bag and filter was cracked but my lens was still in perfect condtion

Very happy with mine, the coatings are much better than average, even compared to more expensive filters. I've had 6 of these in different sizes for my lenses, and while the oldest one I bought several years ago had a defect (glass popped out) Neewer replaced that one and I've never had the issue again with later production batches. I've had MeFoto, Hoya, AmazonBasics, Tiffen, B+W, and other filters and this has the best coatings out of those and one of the lowest prices. Highly recommended.

A photographer for over 40 years and can’t find anything wrong with this filter. I’ve spent way more for filters which didn’t last while traveling around the world taking photos. The nano coating so far is providing an extra level of safety for a light rain, any dust, fingers smudging. Neewer are producing a high level of quality products for a consumer budget friendly pocket book. Highly recommend this filter for anyone looking to save expensive camera lenses from dirt and scratches.

Came in a wonderful box and case, super clean. Made it so easy to install it clean onto my lens. Will be buying from them again. From the filter standpoint. It's a UV filter, that really speaks for itself.

Bought this filter to replace the Tiffen that I had bought last year that seemed to remove detail from shots, and now my pictures are the same clarity as having no filter when using this Neewer filter, and it's not just that this is a new filter, my old one might have been too thiccc for it's own good. This uv filter is a lot thinner, although my lens cap is a much tighter fit on it which means spending an extra second or two making sure the cap is secure.
