Yes, please clip the lens on the bigger one of your phone if your phone has dual lens.

Its about 37mm by 17mm thick not including the clip which is about 3mm very strong and fits nicely on the iPhone

Yes, this is a clip on lens so will be compatible. Works with my Pixel 2 (non XL version)

Q: Does this work with my iPhone 8 plus case or would I have to remove it?

My daughter had to remove the case on her 6S so assume you would need to do the same on your 8.
