I rarely leave reviews, but this product actually surprised me. I was very skeptical at the claims made, but my squeaky floors compelled me to try these. I had ripped out the old flooring and shot 50 normal decking screws into the plywood subfloor and that helped a little but not as much as I was hoping. I gave these a try and immediately ordered more. I ended up removing all the decking screws and using these only. Amazing results ALL the squeaks were gone! I have other rooms that I will be doing new flooring in, and I will be ordering more of these for those rooms. Amazing product!

For now, these seem to be doing the job. It does take a bit of knowhow to put these in correctly, making sure you don't miss the proper floor joists. I'd say to definitely use or invest in a stud finder to get the best alignment for these screws. Once you've got your screws lined up, it's just a matter of aligning the screw with the gripper tool, drilling down to the depth you need, then snapping off the excess. It's a lot more forgiving on carpeted floors, as messing up at first will leave obvious holes in your floor that will need to be patched / filled. Thankfully, the instructions and tools included don't fall apart, at least not for me, making this less of a learning curve and more of a fun learning experience. In the end, less squeaking floors throughout the house, taking away a few "years" off my older house.

We had carpeting installed and afterwards had several squeaky spots that were driving my wife crazy. I was able to fix them all with this product. HOWEVER, the tool for finding the studs is a problem. It’s just a screw without treads. If you miss the stud, it’s tough to get it back out. I found that out pretty quickly. Also, the good screws sometimes screw right past the stopper. Not a big problem, but beware. Thirdly, once you break off the top half as directed, you might feel the nubs left behind if you walk without shoes. That’s the biggest problem. I found myself going back with a hammer and whacking all the nubs. That was effective. In a few spots, there are divots in the carpet from hammering. I doubt they’ll get much notice, but my wife and I see them. The good news is the squeaks are gone.

Finding the joists was a pain . Once you are able to find the joists to have the screws lock on to it. The squeaks will go away. The only issue I am having is that some of the screws will break before they get drill all the way in. I notice that i must use the joist finder bit to make the hole bigger so that it won’t be too tight for the screws.

Works well at the same time a chore to position with tool. Did quit the floor decently.

I ruined my floor trying to make this to work! I screwed 1, 2, 3, and 4 screws and the noise didn't go away , and now I have a noise floor with a bunch of screws on it!

Before using it, I was so confident that I wouldn't suffer from floor squeaky as long as I had it. The truth is, it doesn't solve the problem at all, and once you use the first Screws, there will be many more waiting for you. It is strongly not recommended, not only does it not solve the problem, but you have more trouble, more squeaky places, and holes that need to be patched, sanded, and painted.

If you have squeaky floors try this first before tearing out carpet. After using this product I do not need to hear the annoying squeak!
