GTX Held Air N Dry Gloves

These gloves got a proper waterproofing check in Scotland during a day of heavy rain on my bike between Ayr and Inverness and passed with flying colours, my hands remaining completely dry. They are comfortable also. The only very slight problem I have is switching between winter and summer uses, the latter being a bit fiddly to get my index fingers into.In all well satisfied with my purchase.

For a glove that's advertised as WATERPROO GORETEX, I'm not sure where people get the idea these are actually waterproof from? I've used these a few times on average British weather commutes and found the palms and underside fingers get soaked. It's very disappointing as they are warm and the twin-chamber opening is a great feature, as well as offering all the protection of my trusted AStars GP Pro.That said, as with some winter gloves that offer warmth at the expense of being bulky and little to no kuckle protextion, you don't lose the tactile ability of being able to feel the levers with these gloves in the 'double chamber' mode.They still remain my go to gloves for anything less than scorching days - then I always resort to my Astars (but that's just personal preference).My quest for finding a decent pair of waterproof gloves that offer both protection and warmth continues...
