Interesting read
For such a small nation, Israel has a remarkable security services. You may not agree with their principles or ideology but one thing you can't deny, you don't want to mess with them. They don't forget what you did and they can get to you anywhere in the world. The book has insight from both Mossad leaders and operatives based on real time events. I personally found it a very interesting read. Given it 4 stars as when I got to the end, my Kindle said only 70% of the book had been read. It then goes on to detail all the journalist sources and events for the book.

Insightful, although lacking some details
For those with an interest in the secretive world of Israeli intelligence, this is an interesting insight to the activities and linkages of the Mossad to historic world events, to what they are capable of. Tied by classification, there is some detail lacking, but there is a definite feel, and readers will get the essence of the capabilities. I especially liked the last chapter about the Ethiopian Jewish movement.

Mossad neither forgives nor forgets
Fairly well written book on the origins and history of Mossad, Israel's answer to the KGB.In spite of the number of sometimes questionable extra-judicial killings (assassinations) and the apparent relentless need for retribution, I came away from this book with a far greater understanding of Israel's very real and understandable use of the preemptive strike to defend not just its right to exist but to protect its citizens from regimes that have sworn to destroy it and them. This book does not set out to justify, but to explain. And not everyone involved on the Israeli side is painted as a saint. This is no puff piece.

so if you hate Israel and believe it should not exist
This book is very interesting, no other way to put it. Plenty of (I think) new information on various different operations undertaken by the state of Israel. It is written with a certain tone that is bound to irritate those people who are vehemently against all things Israeli, so if you hate Israel and believe it should not exist, don't read it. If you just like reading non fiction historical books about the modern era, this will be an interesting read. Even if you know next to nothing about the middle east (and beyond) its still worth a read. My favourite chapters were the operation to evacuate the Ethiopian Jews. The lengths they went to were extraordinary. There is a bit of self criticism in here also, pertaining to the recklessness with which Mossad sometimes managed its own spies. Its a very good read. Recommended.

Brilliant, brilliant brilliant.
An absolutely riveting account of the history of Mossad. Every chapter is yet another incredible but true story of the exploits of Israel's secret service. My wife and I listened each night to a new chapter and each night we were left as if we had been listening to a top notch fiction thriller....but it was all true. Cannot recommend this too highly. Brilliantly read it had us on the edge of our seats gasping and saying "No way"! !Amazing"! Get the audio you will not be disappointed at all. In fact we enjoyed the audio so much we are getting the hard back as a handy coffee table "dip in and read a chapter" accessory.

Thrilling
This book gave an idea of various secret operations of Mossad. I appreciate the authors of this book, who have tried their best to project the operations of Mossad .Most of operations explained are very old of 1950-60. I enjoyed the reading.

Worthy of more than 5 Stars!
I had read about the capture of Eichmann by Israel and had a vague idea about Mossad. A second thought about such kind of a mission was enough to convince me that it’s definitely worth it to read this book. And man, I wasn’t disappointed! This is a classic book for all the spies, military, politics etc. kind of enthusiasts. The way the authors describe the secret Mossad missions makes it seriously interesting, holding your attention till the very end. Also, what’s great is that the authors provide quite a comprehensive history about the person(s) involved and how the situation had unfolded which ultimately led Mossad to intervene and take on that mission! Absolutely a wonderful book, would totally recommend it - I’m sure it would help the reader enhance his or her breadth (and/or depth) of knowledge, not only about Mossad, but Israel and Middle East in general. Amazing book!
