Mezze: Small Plates to Share

Love this little book, recipes are easy to follow and varied enough to keep my interest. Ingredients are easy enough to get at supermarket or online for more exotic ones. The author herself is a very interesting lady with good knowledge of her subject, I shall be looking out for her other books in the future.

If you like mezze as much as I do, there are plenty in this book ! Some of them could be lengthy to make, but they seem delicious, I am working my way through the book. I only do one or two at a time., I recommend this book if you long for hot summer evenings, drinking, nibbling food with friends

I appear to have been unlucky with the print run of this book. The last 10 pages are in Spanish instead of English. This includes the index which is a shame. However the book is beautiful and the recipes easy to follow!

Bisher haben wir nur zwei Rezepte aus dem Buch ausprobiert, diese waren sehr lecker und beide Rezepte konnte man nach der Anleitung zubereiten. Wie in der anderen Rezension schon angemerkt wurde, braucht man mindestens gute Schulkenntnisse in Englisch, ansonsten wird es sehr zeitaufwendig überhaupt das Rezept zu lesen. Das Buch gibt es aber auch auf Deutsch mit dem Titel "MEZZE Orientalische Gaumengeschenke" zu kaufen. Wir hatten auch fast alle Zutaten ohne Probleme in einem großen Supermarkt bekommen, die restlichen konnten wir in einem größeren türkischen Spezialitäten Laden kaufen. Das Buch ist empfehlendswert! Für diese Version sollte man aber über gute Englischkenntnisse verfügen ansonsten gibt es das Buch auch auf Deutsch zu kaufen. Wobei diese Version teurer war, weswegen ich mich für die Englische Version entschieden hatte.

Livro incrível, com receitas muito diferentes e maravilhosas de dar água na boca da culinária árabe e mediterrânea que provavelmente só os locais conhecem. Vem muitas fotos e eu gostei muito.

Beautiful book full of mouthwatering dishes, simple, but so extravagant in taste. I think every single dish has a photo which is also really nice. I have a little collection of middle eastern cookbooks and I was affraid this one will be redundant, but I love it and I'm so happy I decided to buy it. A hidden gem!
