Super Duper Extra Deluxe Essential Handbook (Pokémon) (Pokémon)

I got this for my son (8yo) as a gift. He really loves being able to look up his favorite Pokémon then see all the pictures, stats, evolutions, and description in the same place. All of the Pokémon are organized by type for him to easily locate them on his own. Perfect for someone who wants to know more about each Pokémon or have something like a Pokémon Codex of their own!

My son has been asking for this Pokémon book for a while, and I’m glad I finally got it for him. It gives him something he enjoys, and it actually gets him reading, which I appreciate. The book covers different Pokémon in a clear, simple way, and he likes going through the pages at his own pace. It’s nice to see him interested in a hobby that keeps him engaged. Highly recommend! ♡

Awesome you can look at every single Pokémon. It doesn’t go up to the newest ones, but it has almost all of the Pokémon will be useful for the game, cause it teaches you all the typings and stuff. If you wanna play all the games it’s awesome. You can also learn about a bunch more Pokémon like one wormhole Pokémon perfect for kids or adults who love Pokémon

A complete guide to Pokémon fans. My kid loves this book, he reads it daily. I got it for his birthday and has not put it down since. He loves the information and stats about each Pokémon, the pages are colorful and easy to read. More than 1000 different Pokémon’s and fun facts about them. Highly recommend i.

My son has gotten obsessed with playing Pokemon games & this book is almost encouragement for him to want to learn words because it’s so fascinating to him. Very informative book he loves it so much his friend wants the book too.

Awesome guide of available pokemon before Gen X release. My kids love it, and are looking forward to the next installment

This book certainly lives up to its title. It's indeed a super duper essential encyclopedia handbook of all the Pokemon up to this current ninth gen (minus Legends ZA). The way that it's laid out and organized is so helpful. I can't pinpoint when I first started to lose track of all the Pokemon in existence. It must have happened without me realizing it, but it was inevitable now that there are over a thousand Pokemon. And even though I've never stopped playing every Pokemon main series game since the start, I must not have been paying attention in my play-throughs of the recent games, because somebody tell me why it is that I was flipping through this book discovering all sorts of Pokemon (Brambleghast?? Huh?). It would have been nice had the book included which game the Pokemon originated in for some helpful context. I really appreciate that this book included all the different regional and battle forms that have been introduced across the generations. It is so hard to keep track these days, especially if you aren't purchasing the DLC content of the newer games and are now discovering so many variations or mega-evolutions and what not that you didn't know existed. It's a shame this book will be outdated in a year's time when Pokemon Winds and Waves is released in 2027, but while we're in this lull between generations, I'm glad to have this book to re-familiarize myself on all the Pokemon. It's also so nice having something physical and offline. There are times I want to look up a Pokemon without having to deal with embedded website ads and pop-ups. If this book had included Pokemon battle stats or movesets, this would have been a 10/10 product. But as is, I can't fault it for much.

This has quickly become my Pokemon-obsessed 7 year old's favorite book; he looks at it all the time and tells me random facts he's learned from it. It's basically a dictionary of Pokemon characters with stats, characteristics and evolution information. I agree with others that the pages are thinner than many books, like pages in a magazine. For us it has held up to rough use over several months pretty well, with just some curling at the corners, which I think is reasonable for the price paid and large number of pages.

It’s very complete. It’s awesome. My son has, however, discovered some mistakes in the categories ascribed to the pokemon.

Very good book resourceful kids loved it

Book did not arrive in perfect condition, but it’s being handled by a child in the end. It is essentially a giant Pokédex. One strange omission was Castform’s weather forms. My kid takes it everywhere and I have to read 7 pages of entries to him when I put him to bed. So beware.
