Great Value Wireless Mic System for DJs & more
I’ve used a lot of wireless microphone systems, and the PTU-2U-1H1B is a standout, especially for the price. The build quality feels solid and premium right out of the box. Setup was quick and easy thanks to clear instructions, which is always a plus when you’re prepping for events. What really impressed me is the range. Even without direct line of sight, the signal stays strong and reliable—something that’s critical during ceremonies and receptions. The auto-scan feature is also a huge time saver, quickly locking in the best frequency with no guesswork. Having both a handheld mic and a body pack (with lapel and headset options) makes this system incredibly versatile for weddings, speeches, and live announcements. Overall, this is a reliable, professional-grade system at a great value. Highly recommend for DJs, MCs, and event pros.

Totally underrated mic system
I’ve been really impressed with the Phenyx Pro PTU-2U-1H1B system, especially when it comes to audio clarity and how easy it is to get up and running. The microphone quality is surprisingly clean and crisp for the price point. Vocals come through clearly without sounding muddy or overly compressed, which makes it a great option for speaking engagements, live performances, or even small events. There’s minimal interference, and the signal stays consistent even when moving around. Setup is straightforward and user-friendly. Everything is pretty intuitive right out of the box—pairing the system and getting levels set takes just a few minutes, even if you’re not super technical. One of the biggest highlights for me is the included bodypack and headset mic. The hands-free setup is incredibly convenient and works great for situations where mobility is important. The headset is comfortable enough for extended use and maintains solid audio pickup without needing constant adjustment. Overall, this system offers great value with reliable performance, clear sound, and a hassle-free setup process.

Reliable, Clear, and Gig-Ready – A Solid Choice for Working Musicians
As a working musician playing multiple times a week, I need gear I can depend on—and this Phenyx Pro wireless system has been a great addition to my setup. I’m using it 3–4 times a week in live environments, and it’s held up consistently with no major issues. The sound quality is clean and clear, with good presence for both vocals and spoken word. I’ve used both the handheld and headset/lavalier options, and they all perform well with minimal noise or interference. The true diversity receiver does a solid job maintaining signal stability, even in more crowded RF environments. Build quality is better than expected at this price point. The receiver feels rack-ready and durable, and everything integrates easily into my rig. Setup is straightforward, and once dialed in, it stays locked without constant tweaking—which is a huge plus during busy gigs. Battery life has been dependable, and I haven’t had any dropouts mid-performance, which is ultimately what matters most. For the price, this system punches above its weight and delivers performance you can trust on stage. If you’re a gigging musician or running live sound and need a dependable wireless setup without breaking the bank, this is absolutely worth considering.

Premium features for an affordable cost
When I choose a wireless microphone system, there are 3 things I look for. Audio quality(of course), ease of switching and synching the channels, and True Diversity. The Phenyx Pro PTU-2U-1H1B checks all those boxes. The first thing I noticed was the build quality. This unit is built like a tank! Everything is metal and feels well put together-not a lot of flimsy plastic! The Handheld feels heavy and sturdy. The same thing can be said for the Bodypack. The 2U rack mount Receiver is metal and very sleek with a big display. The volume knobs for each channel are tight and have a quality feel to them. The sound quality really surprised me! The Handheld and the Headset both have a full clear sound. I did a non line-of-sight range test for the Handheld and Lapel/Headset mics. I walked around my house and then went outside through the backyard to the alley. The Handheld Mic performed FLAWLESSLY. The signal remained strong even through walls and outside of the house with no dropouts. The Bodypack mics didn't fare so well. There was multiple dropout while walking through the rooms and outside. I would not recommend the Lapel Mic for video audio recording where you may not have line of sight. The pros for The PTU-2U-1H1B: Good sound quality of the Mics. True Diversity. Auto scan and quick IR synchronization. Half wave antennas. Lock function on the receiver. Easy to read display and battery level indicators on the Mic & Bodypack. Easy inline style battery compartment for quick replacements on the Handheld Mic. Lots of extras included in the box. The cons: Signal dropouts with the Bodypack when not line of sight. No battery indicator on the receiver. The screen on the Handheld is hard to see when using outside.

Very impressive performance and range
Having been testing the Phenyx Pro PTU-2U-1H1B Wireless System over the last couple weeks and really put it to the test this past weekend, I can confidently assert that it stands out as a remarkable choice for musicians and professionals seeking reliable and versatile audio equipment. Here's a breakdown with detail around the unit itself: Performance: The PTU-2U-1H1B Wireless System has exceptional performance across diverse settings, testing it mostly onstage and walking in about a 100’ readius with no issues. The sound was consistently clear with almost NO interference, allowing for uninterrupted, seamless performances. Definititely can move around with this unit and the diversity helps to insure quality connectivity. Build Quality: It’s not plastic like so much of what you buy these days. VERY sturdy construction and the small design of the transmitter facilitates easy attachment to instruments or clothing, while the receiver seamlessly integrates into any audio setup. Ease of Use: Setting up the PTU-2U-1H1B Wireless System is a straightforward process, thanks to its user-friendly interface. Configuration of channels and adjustment of settings are intuitive, catering to specific requirements with ease. The system's plug-and-play functionality ensures quick integration with existing audio equipment, saving valuable time during setup. Whether a seasoned professional or a novice user, navigating this wireless system is simple. Battery Life: Didn’t have any issues with battery life, however, really wish there was a rechargeable element to the transmitters and not the use of disposable batteries. This could be an excellent option for the future. The battery level indicators on both transmitter and receiver allows for convenient monitoring, ensuring uninterrupted operation when it matters most. Microphone Performance: With both a handheld wireless microphone and a bodypack, it’s a great multi-purpose unit to place in your sound rack. Whether using a lavalier, ear-worn, or wired handheld dynamic microphone (with adapter), the system delivers clear audio without interference. The True Diversity Receiver maintains a reliable connection, even over considerable distances. The only challenge was around some of the handling noise. I had to rolloff the low-end considerably to minimize the handling sound. Durability and Value: The durability of the Phenyx Pro wireless microphone system is excellent and an incredible value. Areas for Improvement: While the PTU-2U-1H1B system excels in numerous aspects, there are opportunities for enhancement, particularly concerning handling noise with the included PWH-12 handheld transmitter, some form of rechargeable battery pack/built into the unit, and even an option with a ‘plug-on’ transmitter to be able to use my favorite MIC. Addressing this concern in future revisions would further elevate the system's overall performance and user experience. In conclusion, the Phenyx Pro PTU-2U-1H1B Wireless System surpassed expectations as a dependable and versatile wireless solution Great performance, sturdy build quality, ease of use, and long battery life make it a viable wireless system for any musician or sound professional. Highly recommended for its outstanding value and performance.

Phenyx Pro PTU‑2U‑1H1B Is A Game Changer
I used the Phenyx Pro PTU‑2U‑1H1B this past Friday night, and honestly, I was shocked at how good it sounded. The handheld mic came through super clear nice highs, warm mids, and none of that hollow or tinny sound you sometimes get with wireless mics. It picked up my voice perfectly without grabbing every little background noise in the room. The wireless connection was rock solid the whole night. I moved around quite a bit—front, back, side to side—and never got a single dropout. That alone made me feel a whole lot better about using it in a live service. When the service shifted and I needed to switch over to the headset mic, it was a smooth transition. The headset is light, comfortable, and the sound stayed just as clean. The receiver makes it easy to adjust levels on the fly, so I didn’t have to fight with the sound at all. One of our musicians even mentioned how good the mic sounded. He stopped me afterward wanting to know exactly what system I was using because he said the clarity surprised him. When I told him it was the Phenyx Pro PTU‑2U‑1H1B, he immediately asked where he could buy one for himself. Overall, this system is super easy to set up, feels well‑built, and performs way better than the price would make you think. If you need a solid wireless setup for services, events, or live music, I’d definitely recommend giving this one a try.

Excellent budget friendly and feature packed wireless mics
Bottom line is this is a fantastic unit and VERY reasonably priced. I've owned the PTU-7000 series 4 mic wireless system for a couple of years now and my cover band uses that system every weekend without issue. We're very pleased with the 7000 series but the mics are a bit dark in sound and require some EQ. I needed a dual mic set for a smaller setup and the PTU-2 fits the bill perfectly. Same quality construction as the PTU-7000 series but with advanced features like auto scanning for the best frequency, squelch control, and diversity antennas. I found the microphone capsules to be on par with my reference wired shure sm58 and beta 58. The PTU-2 handheld has an ever so slightly darker / bass tone to them without eq that the shure mics but they are very natural sounding and I was able to get a great tone with minimal eq. As you can see in the eq curve screenshots I've uploaded, the PTU-2 handheld is VERY comparable to the SM58 and Beta 58. I found that if you run the master volume at 5 clicks up from completely off, this gives you the exact same input signal as a standard wired dynamic mic, in that, you would add the same amount of gain at your console. However, I found the "sweet spot" on the master volume to be at the 9 0'clock position. Handling noise is minimal. In a quiet and control environment with no music or vocals into the mic (i.e. handling noise ONLY), I found the PTU-2 mic to be slightly more noisy than the wired SM58 and wired Beta 58. However, the noise level was on par with the Shure GLXD system with an SM58 capsule as well as on par with the PTU-7000 series. My conclusion is you would not notice handling noise at ALL in a live environment. Set your gain staging properly and you'll have no issue here. I've used a LOT of wired and wireless solutions over the years from every major brand and honestly this is one of the best values in wireless mics I've ever run across. Phenyx Pro is making BIG NOISE in the industry ...
