Shoo Fly Leggins Medium Blue

I bought this as a gift for a friend with a cob bothered by midges. The medium size was far too small to wrap round his legs and there was no point buying a bigger size because the medium came above his knees so that he couldn't have bent his legs anyway. It was really disappointing to see that there was no adjustment on this product at all. It's probably fine if you have a horse with the long skinny legs envisaged by the designer, but for me it was the most disappointing gift I've ever purchased.

I’ve been buying these leggings for years, but this time around the quality has dropped. I bought them in March, 2024, but didn’t need them until August. Within a week my horse had sores on all four heels. The binding and stitching is very hard. Guessing they’ve cut corners on the manufacturing. Haven’t been able to use them since. Waste of money and won’t be buying again.

My horse stomps a lot due to fly's and a friend recommended this brand saying it is the only fly boot that has worked for her. So I thought I would give it a try. So far they have been awesome and do not slide down. They are keeping the fly's off his legs and helping with the stomping. I found them weird to put on and wasn't sure if they were too tight or too loose. The haven't fallen off and he lives in a large paddock. I would highly recommend these for their quality, durability and ease of use.

I buy them for my 33-year-old quarter horse and they stay up and on him. Helps keep the flies off of him.

Great quality and holding up to our ponys shenanigans. Stays up great, lasting through the mud here and not rubbing our pony’s an holes as some other brands have. Our pony’s feet are looking much better this spring to with getting a break from stomping at the flys

I have a horse who suffers from habronemiasis / summer sores and also happens to be super accident prone. I’ve been trying to protect the nicks and rubs on his legs from the flies and was at my wit’s end before I found these leggings. I can’t believe how well they work, not to mention the fact that my horse hasn’t destroyed them yet! The largest size fits his tree trunk legs perfectly and they haven’t caused any rubs or sore spots on his skin. So much less fly stomping, which is also helping keep his hooves in better shape. He occasionally manages to rip one off with his teeth, but no major damage to the leggings so far. I’m not sure that they’ll last a year, since he’s super hard on all his gear, but it’s less expensive than another vet visit for habronema!

I bought this for my horse who constantly stops his foot in the summer time and I had to put a stop that. So I found this product from some video online and I was like yesss let me buy that. Let me tell you it stopped him stomping his feet. The top is open and the flys don't even go down in there. Just make sure you get a bendy loose paper or similar tape measure to measure around the bottom and use the shoofly guide to make your purchase. I did and it fit perfect. The sizes are on the labels so don't worry about mixing them up. They are a machine washable, used a washing machine and the label was still on afterward. Probably one of the better equine purchases I made. Thanks SHOOFLY! I recommend this product.
