Best SSD
As the title says, best SSD money can buy. Incredible speed, functionality, drive quality and the heat levels are minimal. Will definitely go for a 2nd one.

Blazing Fast and Stays Cool!
The Samsung 990 PRO with the heatsink is a game-changer!Lightning-fast speeds for gaming and heavy workloads, and the built-in heatsink keeps temperatures low even under load. Installation was easy, and the 4TB capacity offers plenty of space.I highly recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their storage!

Keeps disconnecting
EDIT: Edited to 1 star, it is still disconnecting... it has done it twice now it's not the connection or the slot and it won't give me any hint as to why... just says everything is fine, utterly ridiculous. Think I now have to transfer all my stuff back on to my old SSD, Erase everything on this Samsung garbage and get a refund... Terrible for what is their top of the range product ¬_¬Original Review:Bought the 4TB SSD with the heatsink, even with the heatsink it fits fine in my laptop (Alienware m18) which was my main concern when looking for an SSD, even has a bit of room to spare.I was getting the disconnecting issue mentioned in some reviews i had several disconnections in first few days. Removing the SSD and plugging it in again has fixed that issues and it has now gone a week without disconnecting, I suspect i didn't plug it in properly one my first attempt. (if it does cut out again i will revisit this review and drop it to a 1 star). It is hitting the benchmarks advertised and feels speedy.I have rated it 4 star instead of 5 star as the accompanying software Samsung Magician is awful. The latest version from their own website will not install, it just gives a error message "Vulnerability detected this program will be closed" with no further information on what to do. Had to look for an older version of the software from a 3rd party source, install that, and update it to the latest version within the software. Once you get the software installed you need to update the firmware, but the firmware update doesn't work either it just says failed to install firmware update, with no further information. It wasn't until i removed my second SSD and only had the Samsung SSD in that it would update the firmware. All in all Hardware is good, the software really made it difficult though.

This SSD with high-performance but also have a overheating issue.
The Samsung 990 PRO Heatsink NVMe M.2 SSD is undeniably a high-performance storage solution designed for demanding tasks like gaming and video editing. With its impressive specs—4TB capacity, PCIe 4.0 interface, and blazing-fast read/write speeds of up to 7,450 MB/s and 6,900 MB/s respectively—it promises to deliver exceptional performance. After using it for 2 days, I can confirm that it lives up to its claims in many ways. Boot times are incredibly fast, games load almost instantly, and transferring large files is a breeze. The inclusion of a heatsink is a thoughtful addition, as it helps manage temperatures during intensive workloads, ensuring consistent performance. However, my experience hasn’t been entirely flawless. During an extended gaming session, I encountered a significant issue: the SSD overheated, reaching a temperature of 103°C, which caused my computer to blue screen. This was unexpected, especially given the presence of the heatsink. While the heatsink does a decent job under normal conditions, it seems to struggle under sustained heavy loads, such as rendering 4K video or playing graphically intensive games for hours. This overheating issue not only interrupted my workflow but also raised concerns about the long-term reliability of the drive under extreme conditions. That said, it’s worth noting that such overheating incidents are rare and likely occur only under the most demanding scenarios. For everyday use and moderate workloads, the Samsung 990 PRO performs exceptionally well, and the heatsink does its job adequately. However, if you’re planning to push this SSD to its limits regularly, additional cooling solutions might be necessary to prevent overheating and ensure stability. In conclusion, the Samsung 990 PRO Heatsink NVMe M.2 SSD is a top-tier storage device that delivers outstanding performance for gaming and professional tasks. However, its thermal management under extreme conditions could be improved. While the overheating issue is a drawback, it doesn’t overshadow the drive’s overall excellence. For most users, this SSD will be a fantastic choice, but heavy users should consider supplemental cooling to avoid potential overheating problems. The last i send this SSD back for refund.
