Q: Does it protect the screen?

There is no screen protector, but the bezel edge is raised. I have dropped my phone on its face more than once and it has never broke. I have had Magpul cases on three phones and have never had one of the damaged in a drop. I had an Otterbox Defender before I started using these cases and it had a screen protector and I broke the screen because it landed on gravel. I like the Magpul cases much better, thin, the cases does not stretch like all Otterboxes due and it does not slip in my hand.

Q: Is the black case actually black or is it very dark grey like picture?

The black one is black, it looks just like an actual PMAG.

Q: What are the actual product dimensions

Well it should fit a Galaxy S4 phone. It's about 5.5 inches long and about 3 inches wide. Hope that helps.

Yes, highly recommend you pick one up as with all MagPul products it is to milspec and works flawlessly oh yeah it will keep your S4 safe from the occasional dtop
